Well that's pretty embarrassing for the Dolphins.SST has reportedly turned down the Dolphins 2 year offer and signed with Catalans from 2023

I’m sure they have a plan, ......
Probably trying to impress on him the history of the club and the rusted-on fans, something that would have zero appeal to Brendon Schmidt.Funny the difference in tactics. The Dolphins walked him through the pokies to talk to a bunch of old bar flies about fishing. No wonder no one wants to go there.
$13m in NRL grants for the salary cap, but then dont spend it... pure profit babyYes...it appears to be some secret plot to not sign anybody!!
Ingenious bastards.....
sign 30 min wage q cup players.$13m in NRL grants for the salary cap, but then dont spend it... pure profit baby
*mammally.Shhh.........it's a secret. There's something fishy going on at The Dolphins.
While I don’t think they’re in any trouble yet, it’s not about the time but the number of knock-backs they’re apparently getting,A lot of early talk here. It's been 1 month since they were able to sign players. People are acting like they won't get a team together when they don't start until 2023. We all know how easy it is for players to get out of contracts. They are taking their time, which is smart.
Clubs get knocked back all the time, every time a player signs or re-signs, several clubs miss out. All these reports are reporters who have articles that need to go out. As soon as a player beats his missus or gets arrested, they will stop for a week or 2.While I don’t think they’re in any trouble yet, it’s not about the time but the number of knock-backs they’re apparently getting,
Not a good look for the new team to have to seemingly convince players out of exisiting contracts.A lot of early talk here. It's been 1 month since they were able to sign players. Here's the problem though, it may be easy for players to get out of existing contracts but the Ryan Matterson rule prevents them from making more money than they would have on their existing deal. Add that to the fact that you aren't going to get 10-15 disgruntled players in one year that will shift clubs too. The marquee players are starting to dry up and Bennetts golden principle of spending x amount on certain positions will need to change if he is serious about luring some serious talent to the team.A lot of early talk here. Yeah... to me it's starting to become more about who will their marquee player be.Here's the problem though, it may be easy for players to get out of existing contracts but the Ryan Matterson rule prevents them from making more money than they would have on their existing deal. If they are planting all their eggs in the Ponga basket then they are really inviting trouble. Newcastle will have plenty of cash to throw at him as well with an added bonus of being an existing team with the facilities already built around him.Yeah... to me it's starting to become more about who will their marquee player be.
It's all well and good to be targeting the 2024 free agents, but they still have to field a team for 2023 and it's starting to get a bit bare on who will be in it.
2023 they need to hit the ground running to build momentum through to 2024.
If the team is garbage and they win the spoon in 2023 then they would be failing to capitalise on the hype built up for their arrival.

I think I remember him saying he would find it difficult to play against the Rortera for another NRL team.SST has reportedly turned down the Dolphins 2 year offer and signed with Catalans from 2023
