Thurston though, geez, he's weaker in attack than Lockyer (and usually shatters his shoulder when he tries), he's got nought but a running game, he's got poor temperament and generally is only good for 2 good plays a game....how he's succeeded in Origin at all is beyond me (no it's not, he's always had Lockyer or Prince and Inglis, Hodges, Folau, Hunt, Slater, Smith, Price, Civoniceva etc around him).

As long has they are the winning plays, who cares? Saying Prince would put the team in a winning situation thus not requiring a last gasp win is purely speculation. The fact is, when the big plays are required fro QLD, Thurston has come up with them in the past.

I actually think that Prince is a better halfback than Thurston, but I'd rather go in to a series with a proven, series winning combination at half and 5/8 than throw an unknown in to the equation. Thurston and Lockyer know each others game. Who's to say what will happen if you have a Prince Lockyer combination. If it aint broke, why fix it?

I don't necessarily agree with Coxy's opinion on Thurston, but apart from his tries tonight he did bugger all IMO
