The reason Slater did the slide thing, was he was trying to get his feet under the ball, ala when he "held up" Hannant. Simple. Didn't work this time, worked in Hannant scenario.
Scotty said:When I saw that smarmy little bastard Slater do that I got very angry. It's disgusting and in no way should it be legal. I don't give 2 shits whether its not against the rules to do that. IF you DO, then you are a grade A Bastard.
Scotty said:I really hate the "it's not against the rules" defence that has been thrown around on here. The lack of sportsmanship that exists everywhere these days is just amazing to me.
Scotty said:Uhhh no I was referring to Slater as the A-grade bastard actually. And "thrown around here" was meant in regard to all the Melbourne shite that has been discussed on these forums. When the wrestling BS was being talked about, a few people mentioned that melbourne aren't actually breaking any rules. Which I think is a ridiculous way to look at it.
Scotty said:And as the Rock has said before, instead of just saying LOLZ like a f*cking idiot, how about you elaborate on your argument.
Scotty said:Glass houses? How so hammo? What Slater is doing there is disgusting and shows complete disregard for his opponent. I don't care if it was Slater, Lockyer, Mason, Hannant etc, it's a dog act. But because it's a Melbourne player and we're all sticking the boot in, Hammo and his merry band of melbourne loving pole smokers come along having a spaz attack about how we're only saying it cause Melbourne are successful.

To mean that if you do give 2 shits that it's against the rules, you are an A grade bastard. Maybe you just missed a "it" after the word "do". eusa_think

Once again, I thought you were talking IN CONTEXT to the topic of the thread. If you weren't and you were talking about Storm play in general, then that wasn't elaberated in your post.

A PROFESSIONAL football team. In most sports people do whatever they can to win (i.e. drug cheats, etc.) Like Jester has just said and I have said a million times, they invented a style of play that wasn't illegal. When it became illegal (3 years too late), they tailored it so they weren't even the most penalised side for it. The Storm simply found a technique and exploited it. I can't blame them for that, like I can't blame Alf for using his legs to bring down men twice his body weight.

Um...I think you will find I said LOLZ and then gave my arguement. No idea whats wrong here....LOLZ.

Like Mick said (and I agree I'm as guilty as you); Pot.Kettle.Black.
You have an opinion, which is EVERYWHERE on this forum. I mean, honestly, take a step back and just filter through how many posts have been created which are anti-Storm or anti-Storm related. Then myself, Jester, Queenslander (3 posters in an entire forum) (and Frank the Tank when he was on) offer a devils advocacy on the thread and you claim it is us who have a "spaz attack". Please.
Would you prefer we all not discuss anything? Like a dictatorship? You have an opinion, I have an opinion. If you don't like mine, block me. Or read it and respond, that is what a forum is actually about.
Cool. So, LOLZ
Hammo said:Dude, please understand, LOLZ to me is like LOL to you.

LOLZ! [icon_lol1. [icon_lol1.
"Thrown around here". Um, I'm the only on that mentioned it isn't against the rules.
Over reaction much?
P.S. Just have the balls to say; "Hammo you are an A grade bastard."
P.P.S. Sportsmanship? LOLZ. Glasshouses.

If he really injured Robertson he would have been charged with striking - he probably should have been hit with some sort of reckless/careless charge anyway
WRONG. It would not have been a penalty try. The rules states you are allowed to strip the ball over the line, and the worst you will get is a penalty given against u now. Also, knocking the ball out with ur foot doesnt count as a strip, so in fact he wouldnt have been penalised at all. Obviously you are either too young or too ignorant to remember Ridge doing the same thing to the broncos many years ago.
WRONG. You are not allowed to kick the ball out of the hands of a player. If you want to strip you need to use your hands. Many years ago Ridge may have gotten away with it, but rules have changed since then. Did you not know that if Cameron Smith's last ditch effort to stop Witt's try with the foot came off, it would've been a Warriors penalty try?
