This should be banned... *pic*

The reason Slater did the slide thing, was he was trying to get his feet under the ball, ala when he "held up" Hannant. Simple. Didn't work this time, worked in Hannant scenario.

My mistake, I took this;

When I saw that smarmy little bastard Slater do that I got very angry. It's disgusting and in no way should it be legal. I don't give 2 shits whether its not against the rules to do that. IF you DO, then you are a grade A Bastard.

To mean that if you do give 2 shits that it's against the rules, you are an A grade bastard. Maybe you just missed a "it" after the word "do". eusa_think

I really hate the "it's not against the rules" defence that has been thrown around on here. The lack of sportsmanship that exists everywhere these days is just amazing to me.

Once again, I thought you were talking IN CONTEXT to the topic of the thread. If you weren't and you were talking about Storm play in general, then that wasn't elaberated in your post.

Uhhh no I was referring to Slater as the A-grade bastard actually. And "thrown around here" was meant in regard to all the Melbourne shite that has been discussed on these forums. When the wrestling BS was being talked about, a few people mentioned that melbourne aren't actually breaking any rules. Which I think is a ridiculous way to look at it.

A PROFESSIONAL football team. In most sports people do whatever they can to win (i.e. drug cheats, etc.) Like Jester has just said and I have said a million times, they invented a style of play that wasn't illegal. When it became illegal (3 years too late), they tailored it so they weren't even the most penalised side for it. The Storm simply found a technique and exploited it. I can't blame them for that, like I can't blame Alf for using his legs to bring down men twice his body weight.

And as the Rock has said before, instead of just saying LOLZ like a f*cking idiot, how about you elaborate on your argument.

Um...I think you will find I said LOLZ and then gave my arguement. No idea whats wrong here....LOLZ.

Glass houses? How so hammo? What Slater is doing there is disgusting and shows complete disregard for his opponent. I don't care if it was Slater, Lockyer, Mason, Hannant etc, it's a dog act. But because it's a Melbourne player and we're all sticking the boot in, Hammo and his merry band of melbourne loving pole smokers come along having a spaz attack about how we're only saying it cause Melbourne are successful.

Like Mick said (and I agree I'm as guilty as you); Pot.Kettle.Black.

You have an opinion, which is EVERYWHERE on this forum. I mean, honestly, take a step back and just filter through how many posts have been created which are anti-Storm or anti-Storm related. Then myself, Jester, Queenslander (3 posters in an entire forum) (and Frank the Tank when he was on) offer a devils advocacy on the thread and you claim it is us who have a "spaz attack". Please.

Would you prefer we all not discuss anything? Like a dictatorship? You have an opinion, I have an opinion. If you don't like mine, block me. Or read it and respond, that is what a forum is actually about.

Cool. So, LOLZ

yeah I claim its you who has a spaz attack cause it's pretty obvious dude [icon_lol1. Then again so does everyone. And I do want to continue debating, but I think you must surely realise that it's annoying when someones response comes riddled with LOLZ... that's right I've finally cracked after a half a year of LOLZ on BHQ.

Dude, please understand, LOLZ to me is like LOL to you.

LOLZ! [icon_lol1. [icon_lol1.

"Thrown around here". Um, I'm the only on that mentioned it isn't against the rules.

Over reaction much?

P.S. Just have the balls to say; "Hammo you are an A grade bastard."

P.P.S. Sportsmanship? LOLZ. Glasshouses.

I forget who it was, but there was one where the guy got nailed in the guts.

Yeah, I remember saying to a mate of mine when we saw the reply that Slater had just kicked him in the guts.

Look its wrong, who cares if its in the rules, we all know its dangerous, as for comparing them to shoulder charges GTFO .... pleeaseee.

Shoulders don't have little blades or Tags on the end of them.

So what if he did it to Benny a few weeks ago, its a high risk move that 9 times out of 10 your not going to pull off.

Yea like someone said earlier i saw a replay of Ballin's try and he done the exact same thing but his feet missed him and it looked like he kneed him in the head.

BTW, Rhys Wesser was charged for a similar incident against us last season. If contact is made it faces suspension. Slater is either just really skillful, or really lucky that he hasn't collected someone yet.

What is the point of Slater doing this - if he had kicked the ball out of Robertson's hand it would have been a penalty try. If he really injured Robertson he would have been charged with striking - he probably should have been hit with some sort of reckless/careless charge anyway

WRONG. It would not have been a penalty try. The rules states you are allowed to strip the ball over the line, and the worst you will get is a penalty given against u now. Also, knocking the ball out with ur foot doesnt count as a strip, so in fact he wouldnt have been penalised at all. Obviously you are either too young or too ignorant to remember Ridge doing the same thing to the broncos many years ago.

WRONG. You are not allowed to kick the ball out of the hands of a player. If you want to strip you need to use your hands. Many years ago Ridge may have gotten away with it, but rules have changed since then. Did you not know that if Cameron Smith's last ditch effort to stop Witt's try with the foot came off, it would've been a Warriors penalty try?

I disagree. and until i see it in a rule book ill continue to.

I'm gonna go with both.

No surprise it's a storm player doing this. Bellamy is blighting the game with his tactics.

not sure if this is bait, but who cares, as if bellamy is teaching slater to jump kick lol, it was a just a reaction to try stop the try

He did it to stop ben hannant's try in the game v the bronocs, and I am very much suggesting that he is coached... why wouldn't he be. And i don't bait, it's just the way i see it.

The reason he does it is because the storm players use poison tip cleats, so when Slater is trying to stop a try, if he misses and grazes a player, they die from the poison.

Another dirty Melbourne tactic!

To continue my over-the-top melbourne hating: Let's see him crane kick Vateuvei in the face and see what happens.

Every bone in his foot and leg would shatter.

Vatuvei would probably have even less teeth than what he has now.
