Unless charges are laid, The Broncos will not sack Thaiday or Hunt..

what about for a breech of the code of conduct.

I said it when Buster and Costigan got the sack - It's easy for the Broncos to take the moral high ground with players who were already going to get the chop.

Hunt and Thaiday are part of the long term plans for the club - Lacey, Te reo, Costigan and Seymour were not.

If charges are not laid, I'm sure the Broncos could word a statement to say the allegations were exaggerated and no code of conduct was broken.

I'm not saying I agree but I can see in unfolding that way

Where's the option on having a scapegoat. [icon_wink

Or could that be the case already. [icon_evillaugh

Was what I posted banning material.

+1

The only difference I think will be the Broncos will publicly punish/shame the players - fines, forced public apologies, enforced alcohol programs/bans etc. Just to make a point that they're not letting it go completely unpunished.

You also have to realise that Costigan in particular was on his last warning at the club too. It wasn't his first breach of conduct.

Agreeing with Coxy at this point.

Mind you if rumours are right, at least one of those involved in this incident have been warned about their off field behaviour already too!

Last option for me.

But I might add, at this point of the season I doubt there would be too many clubs able to fit any more rep players under their salary caps for 2009 - most of them would have their playing rosters completely locked in, so the Broncos sacking them may mean they would have to go OS or to RU.

The main club that might be able to afford to pick them up would be the Bulldogs with money freed up from $BW, however I don't know that they would want to pick up any more players with any sexual-related tarnishing given everything they have been through over the past few seasons.

yes I have heard those rumours and he's been covered for a few times. It's time Todd Carney 2 was made to pay.

If the Broncos sacked Thaiday and Hunt im sure the NRL would throw their support behind the club and outlaw them from playing next season in Australia.

From what i'm lead to believe Boyd is in the most trouble out of the 3, it just depends what the other 2 got upto, hence why i clicked the last option.

I wouldn't be surprised if they were sacked though, the Broncos are a very proud club. They might have hushed some things up and swept them under the carpet in the past, but once something makes it public they are the best in the league at dealing with these types of issues. The wild card is WB, i honestly don't think they would last if he was here next year, so it just depends what input he has.

I will support whatever decision the club deems fit. At the end of the day though the Broncos are far more important than 2 players.

*cough*scapegoat*cough*

Who knows- I would have thought out of all 3 that Boyd would have been the most innocent one. He seems to harmless hahah

I voted last, however, if everything said is true; I would still vote 2nd last. I'm no Chicken Little.

FACTS (from what we have been told);
- No sexual assault has occured.
- No unconsenual sex occured.
- No club rules were broken (i.e. no alcohol bans, no curfews)

Therefore, players aren't guilty and would actually have cause to legally prosecute the club if the club attempted disciplinary action!
