TPJ....Grub, or not?

Its seems to be his go, hitting opposition players, when they are disadvantaged or defenceless.

I'm not saying I don't want a hard ...or aggressive player, a player who doesn't take any backwards steps, but....that's not really ever gonna describe TPJ, is it?

I'm thinking he's a bit of a shit ****.......TBH

I love how its perfectly natural for the likes of A Fifita, Napa and Klemmer to be aggressive, intimidating players but when one of ours does it, it's the talk of the town.

I think he is a bit of a grub tbh. His issue is more he makes too many dumb decisions when it comes to his physicality on the field.

I think his one of those players who can have a habit of crossing the line between controlled aggression and being a thug. That doesn't make him a thug but it does have a habit of becoming costly when your missing sizable timeframes as a result deserved or not. His young and with time and experience potential is there for him to learn to control his aggression. Will he is another question altogether but I wouldn't give up on him just yet.

He gets red mist and struggles to control it. If he channeled it into just running hard and tackling hard then we wouldn't have to keep seeing him on the sidelines.

He is reckless with a fuse thats short. Theres a clear disconnect between thought process and consequences for the team and himself.

Absolutely. Every team has assholes, but as they are "our" assholes.
Well, if they are good players, otherwise we'd probably still eventually turn on them.

You're not intimidating players when you hit them from behind or whilst they're on the ground.....or both.

Aggressive players toe the line and occasionally cross it. This is part of having players that play an aggressive style.

All of the enforcers in the comp, they all have the same thing in common.

Aggressive ... absolutely; and sometimes he does cross the line ...

but on Friday, i don't think he did ... and he shouldn't have been charged for it. O'Neill was on the ground without a hand on him, therefore the tackle was not completed, so TPJ had every right to hit him as hard as he liked, just as long as there was no contact with the head, which there wasn't.

and given the charge was for dangerous contact to the head/neck and there was no contact with the head or neck, then he should get off at the judiciary, if they were fair dinkum ... but i'm not going to hold my breath, as i'd pass out before the judiciary proved it's competence.
