RUMOUR TPJ to be sacked

Thinking about it - if this is purely for the breach of COVID restrictions I don't think he can be sacked.
Looking at the action taken against all other officials and players who have breached restrictions this does not seem fair.

Hopefully they have other supporting reasons because it is going to be great seeing the Broncos have to pay out his full contract if a court rules it is unfair.

Depends if there were other "issues" that were on his record. TPJ is a bit of a dingbat so it wouldn't shock me he's had a few items tucked under the rug.

just because other clubs have decided not to sack their personnel for breaching the COVID restrictions doesn't mean we can't sack our personnel. it would be covered under bring the club into disrepute clauses. we could so possibly use his phone call to Politis if we really wanted to, because no company is ok with someone talking to one of their direct competitors

I don't think it brings the club into disrepute. It is also out of balance compared to the treatment of others. I also think given the suddenness of the restrictions breaking them was always expected to be a high possibility.

The phone call you would literally need Politis to make the statement that TPJ is lying and he wanted to be signed etc

absolutely it does ... especially given who he was associating with at the time

Don’t.

Nothing stops this train.

Except we were happy to get the South Sydney coaches' input on whether to keep Moose.

you point being ... bit of a different scenario, he had already signed with us, so future recruitment decision fall into his responsibility anyway ... plus at the time we weren't looking for a reason to sack him.

BTW, South Sydney got our coaches input on their players and their pre-season camp

My point being your messiah and one true god Paul White oversaw the organisation giving a rival coach input into our roster. While he was a direct competitor. So obviously at least one company, ruinously run as it is, is ok with talking to one of their direct competitors. Although maybe not perfectly okay with it given it was used as a fig leaf when he sacked our former coach for the very same conduct. I wonder how many fiscally responsible dollars our CEO's actions cost to make that unfair dismissal suit go away.

I love listening to Ikin on 360, he says it as it is.

Deadset, he sounds like a guy who will make change.

Honestly, that five minutes on 360 was like an interview and he did superbly. If you aren't sure about him, watch it.

Sacking TPJ plays into his hands, it'll free him to pursue another higher paying contract. It's what he wants. Broncos don't want him, he doesn't want to be there. Everyone gets what they want. Win-Win situation.

Shock the media are saying poor TPJ and the Broncos are being too harsh by sacking him.
