probably not good considering hes in england and the game is 4 days awayhaha.

If he hops on a plane now, he will be here for a few days before the game.

That's enough time.

Re: Setu Leaving, Tronc Possibly Signing

Pennywise, you are in the front row this weekend, suit up man.

Re: Setu Leaving, Tronc Possibly Signing

Well then who thinks he'll be lining up for the game in 2 weeks time?
He will be a huge boost to our forward pack and the sooner we get him the better our chances of winning games.

I hope he is ready for round 5. We need him as soon as possible.

Just imagine if Simms gets back to his form of late 2009 soon and Kenny, Anderson and Tronc keep playing the way they are. Our pack will be looking really strong with some experience then.

Re: Setu Leaving, Tronc Possibly Signing

Good move getting Tronc (if it happens)

As much as i'd like to keep Setu, and get him into some kind of form, i just think we have too many backrow options, and too few real props.

Lets cross our fingers Tronc is really coming

I'm disappointed. I'm a fan of Setu so I'm sad to see him go but on the other hand Tronc would be a
great pickup.

I agree spewing Setu is leaving the club. We have a few too many backrowers though. Hope it is true about Tronc we need his size and experience of the bench desperately. icon_thumbs_u

Re: Setu Leaving, Tronc Possibly Signing

Laters Setu, he could be good but has done nothing to show the broncos he is worthy of keeping. I thought last yr we should sign Tronc before he went overseas but it is good we have him. Scott Anderson is going well, Kenny is always solid and another high metre making forward is exactly what we need. Add Petero to the mix next yr and we have a great forward pack again. So glad because I think we are 1 or 2 front rowers short, Hala, Dodds and a few others are young and need time to develop and not have the pressure of having to do alot more than they are capable of at the moment.

Re: Setu Leaving, Tronc Possibly Signing

please make this happen!

Re: Setu Leaving, Tronc Possibly Signing

Setu has been ordinary at best for us. Apart from the occasional decent hit he puts on, he doesn't do a lot.

If losing him means we gain a good prop then I'm all for it.

Re: Setu Leaving, Tronc Possibly Signing

Henjak also said he was surprised by newspaper reports on Monday suggesting forward Lagi Setu was set to walk out on the club and join the Sydney Roosters.

The report, in the Australian newspaper, speculated that Setu could even line up for the Roosters against Brisbane in Sydney on Friday night.

Setu played off the bench against the Warriors on Sunday but was not selected for Brisbane's opening two games of the season against the Cowboys and Canberra.

"He hasn't come to me and asked for a release or said he is unhappy," Henjak told AAP.

"Lagi's got a contract with us, it's news to me."

Just got this quote from the NRL website under the heading of " Broncos winger Kemp in hospital"
So don't know where the media got that idea from.

Makes things interesting. I find it funny Setu would go back to Sydney when he moved back home to be close to his family.

Re: Setu Leaving, Tronc Possibly Signing

I thought it was weird that no other media outlet had picked it up yet. I couldn't find the story anywhere on smh, courier mail, fox sports, daily tele etc.

Re: Setu Leaving, Tronc Possibly Signing

so this is all bullshit? lame.

Re: Setu Leaving, Tronc Possibly Signing

Interesting how every rumour that sounds good, ends up being denied by the Broncos. Hopefully we still sign Tronc.

Re: Setu Leaving, Tronc Possibly Signing

Did you watch him last year? Had his best season by far.

And yeah he's no nonsense, but Kenny doesn't exactly have hands like a surgeon and doesn't offer 'much else' besides go forward, which is the objective of playing front row I always thought?
