As for Tronc...uggh while he is a no nonsense fwd, he doesnt offer much else, and more often then not hes a loose carry guy like Sims

Did you watch him last year? Had his best season by far.

And yeah he's no nonsense, but Kenny doesn't exactly have hands like a surgeon and doesn't offer 'much else' besides go forward, which is the objective of playing front row I always thought?

Kenny and Tronc would form an ace front row IMO.

Neither of them are flashy, but they each get through a truckload of work.

I'd be pretty happy if we signed Tronc.

Tronc is the form forward in the comp over there, in 8 games averaging about 150m a game, 2nd to amos roberts, 23 hitups, 2nd to James Grahem, 3 offloads, 25 tackles and hes scored 2 tries... Gonna have a hard time getting wakefield to release him...

Tronc would give our side much needed balance. I'd like to keep Setu if possible I think he has massive amounts of talent and hits hard in defence. We have too many backrowers at the moment IMO.

so are we releasing Setu to pay for the transfer fee or to pay for Tronc? I would imagine with PJ retiring and the obvious losses last year our cap for this year would be relatively empty...

I find all these recent comings and goings really disappointing. Not just from a Broncos perspective, but from a league perspective. I find it disgusting that a player can play for their current team, then a week later hop on a plane, train for a few days and potentially play against their current club.
I would support the NRL enforcing a rule that no player is to transfer mid season. If the player doesn't want to play for their current team, then they can sit out the rest of the year!
The whole mentality of this occurring through a regular season has left a sour taste in my mouth.

The report, in the Australian newspaper, speculated that Setu could even line up for the Roosters against Brisbane in Sydney on Friday night.

Setu played off the bench against the Warriors on Sunday but was not selected for Brisbane's opening two games of the season against the Cowboys and Canberra.

we would still have the money to sign Tronc if he actually wants to come back to the NRL. Personally, I'd like for us to keep Setu, because i think he could be a similar sort of player to Tunza, but we haven't seen his best yet.

I hope we can keep Setu. We will need him to step up over the next couple of months with all of these injuries.

As for Tronc, I agree with Ning.

I remember posting on a forum (can't remember which one but I don't think it was this one) that we should sign him.

What were Troncs' stats for the year he played well? Is he really that good of a player?

if you can find a site that has previous years stats then let me know, cause i cant find one for the life of me :(. all i know is when actually watching the cowboys games, he was as good as a prop can be.
