It shouldn't have been a sin bin. It should have been a send off.
5 minute sin bin at least for tackles on report.
Does anyone recall whether or that tackle was mentioned in the press conference? I know in the Panthers presser they only wanted to talk about following the rule book when it suits then. (Moylan taking it dead.)
Slippery slope there as all head highs tend to go on report.
Plus the refs are too gutless to send anyone unless a punch is thrown these days.
Nah, it was all Soward.
Soward: [inaudible]. It's on report.
Ref: Can you get him to come out here mate
Soward: It's on report.
Tyrone walks over.
Soward: Penalty on report. It has to be.
Can't remember the last time a captain argued so strongly that his player should be on report. You don't do that unless you think the consequences should be worse.
Last weekend the video ref stopped calling high shots unless it was intentional. Great to see and it might stop at few lying downThat might be kind of the point. They changed the rules so the video ref can only over-rule if a foul play is deemed worthy of going on report. Subsequently the refs have now been deeming stuff worthy of a penalty, and therefore putting them on a report to justify the penalty. You'd think if a mandatory 5 minute bin was attached to anything on report, they'd be much more hesitant to blow a penalty. You could argue that the ultimate benefit would be not many get put on report, therefore less diving.

What a disgrace that he only gets a week more than McQuire...
