Considering the year Tuqiri had at Souffs, even with everyone saying he was washed up, he had a great year. I would not say no

I don't think that's true. He's playing a position he never has before besides first grade. He's not even a winger, so to be judged as a winger is tough. He's a fullback who got thrown onto the wing. Some make the transition to NRL easier, some take longer. Plus on top of building his confidence for the NRL he has to play a position a little bit unfamiliar to him. He certainly can improve...

I very rarely agree with AP but he is on the money with this one. Uate had great seasons in 2010 and 2011 and had a good Origin series in 2011 but he has sadly declined since Bennett arrived at Newcastle. Hopefully Rick Stone can get him back to his best, he was awesome to watch and a real crowd pleaser.

Oh that's right, whenever a player improves under Bennett it is 100% because of him, but when they go worse it's the players fault entirely. Sorry I forgot.

Yeah that's not quite true. 2010-2011 the focus was all about his attacking prowess. 2011 and he starts playing rep footy and gets exposed as a liability under the high ball and hopeless positioning in defence.
These deficencies weren't created by Bennett, they were simply exposed when playing against a better class of player. Once the rest of the NRL saw Uate's weak spots, he was targeted out of the game.
I doubt you'll see him back as any regular first grader no matter who's coaching him.

I can't remember Uate being a liability for NSW or Australia in 2011 from memory his performance was solid enough and was seen as someone who would be around in future teams. His poor rep showing didn't start until 2012 which I will admit he was exposed and lost confidence and was deservedly dropped.
As for him not being a regular first grader again, he has tremendous ability and on his day is one of the best wingers in the game. He needs a coach to believe in him and give him confidence again. He is a confidence player and doesn't perform when his confidence is down.

He doesn't listen, those problems were worked on in NSW camp that series he refused to change until he was dropped. Drove staff mental.

Eitherway, Uate was heavily criticised for his defence in Origin, letting in tries through the Thurston-Inglis-Boyd channel, but equally the Morris twins let in the same amount of tries yet they go unnoticed since NSW won the series.
It's not a matter of whether his defence is good or bad, its just that partnership of Thurston, Inglis and Boyd were too good and still found a way to penetrate the opposition defence. Uate shouldn't be the only one singled out and blamed for letting in those tries, when equal fault, and in some cases more of the blame should go to his centre and those on his inside. Uate can't really do much when he's marking two players by himself just cause his inside players didn't do their job effectively.

Why does every argument have to go to extremes when blaming people? And by people I mean Bennett.. Every time. Literally nobody has said that Bennett makes everyone better but you have said he makes people worse which is just crap.
