Sorry I haven't been on here, I've been trying. The forum wouldn't send me those forgot my password reminders. But I remembered it finally. icon_thumbs_u

I'm still keen to get this show on the road. So let's discuss and also admins/BHQ warlords PM me and let me know where you are at and what you think.

Let's have a great day even though unfortunately it will have to be after the match is played, but let's keep it good fun and have a BBQ or something afterwards as well.

Hi gang.

The event has the complete support of the Titans and they are helping source us a venue! icon_thumbs_u

Their only issue is making sure the event isn't hijacked by any fringe element who might not have the same spirit as us. But luckily I think we have two fantastic groups of rugby league fans. BHQ has been around for years and certainly are a fantastic group of people and in the short existance of the Titans we have built up a group of fantastic array of rugby league fans. We pretty much already know our team.

So we will need to focus on getting our teams together and get ready for a fantastic day. I know it will be after the derby which is a shame, if it was a Sat, Sun or Mon game we could get away with it. But I'm sure we can all enjoy the day for what it is an not dwell on if we won or lost.

We'll be bringing our banners and flags along for some colour.

And it would be great to organise a BBQ for afterwards. The charity concept for YoungCare is definitely still on the agenda.

Maybe we could even get someone (Maybe one Titans and one Broncos.) to commentate the game and we can get a microphone and speaker and have a bit of fun.

That's a shame, but hopefully with the Titans helping, when we host the next match in Brisbane on the weekend of Round 24 the Broncos will be more encouraged to support these types of things.

We pretty much have our team ready to rock, so don't let us down Broncos fans! There was heaps of interest on the old BHQ forum, I hope it hasn't disappeared. _woohoo_

Yeah I'm keen if it's Oztag. Hope we can source shorts/tags/referee though (DIEHARD, I pm'd you a contact within QLD Oztag who might be able to help).

Thanks for that contact Coxy. I will make use of it. We will make sure we have a proper referee and the OzTag gear.

I have suggested a northern gold coast location, so it's easier for everyone coming from up north. We are also looking at the Saturday after the NRL match with a time frame of 1:00-3:30pm with time for a match, BBQ and some socialisation. This isn't confirmed yet. Hope to get confirmation soon.

Also one of my good friends is a Broncos season ticket holder and is keen to play for you guys. He referees touch footy and would be a great player. He tried to sign up weeks ago but got drowned in all the spam (I know how you feel, our forum got swamped in the garbage a year and a half ago.) I'll get him to sign up to BHQ again.

Awesome, I appreciate your support.

I've stuck my neck out on this one and I really want it to be a success so we can move on and make it a bigger event in Round 24 and even work on some others. [icon_pray.

We are close to deciding on a venue and it'll be in northern Gold Coast so it's a bit closer.

Honestly i think we need to postpone or cancel this first leg. We've really only got 2 players committed and available. I've got origin trials and Russo has other commitments.

Maybe focus on round 24, give more notice and avoid sundays.

Yeah really sorry Diehard, but with the collapse of the forum and the time taken to reboot things, this thread was lost until you revised things, and the notice for us to arrange a team properly will be impossible. I have commitments with the family and the Brisbane Half marathon that weekend so I'm out and as Coxy said he has SOO Oztag trials [icon_wink and Jebba well I think he might have the Slipper weekends mixed up but has something on also.

Could I suggest we definately go ahead with the latter round game, but also plan a game for like a month before that as well. If we set aside 2 dates early and work on venues as well we can all put it in our diaries early.

Sorry again mate, I realise how much work you have gone to after reading your forum on the game [icon_wink , noting you are even trying to steal some of our players [icon_razz1

Let's talk some more and we can plan this properly with Coxy, Jeb or myself. We can then even look at the Youngcare linkage into it all.
