So if griffin sucks and bennett's a has-been, what's your solution then?

Have a different forum member coach each week.

Reading most of the posts we are experts in everything, we will never lose a game .

Wayne Bennett is 64.... Not 65. Born Jan 1 .1950

My predicted side for next year...

1. Barba
2. Vidot
3. Copley
4. Hodges
5. Maranta
6. Milford
7. Hunt
8. Hannant
9. McCullough
10. McGuire
11. Thaiday
12. Gillette
13. Parker

14. K. Hunt
15. Kennedy
16. Garbutt
17. Glenn

Barba wasnt wanted by Bennett previously what makes you think he wont be offered a release

the point is he will be 65 by the time he coaches his next Broncos match.

So we only have 2 options? Keep a bad coach, or reinstate an arrogant, old and out of touch coach who walked out on us before who has sinced left 2 clubs in a worse state then when he got there? Those were our only 2 options hey?

There's a 3rd option, and that is get a different coach. I dont know who. Thats not my job, but i do know it looks like we took the easiest, and most short term option there is, regardless of how much it will **** us long term.

Look at the knights right now. Bennett will leave them with (i think) the oldest roster in the game. They will be a mess for years to come and its all thanks to bennett and his dad's army he brought in

Apparently they are the only options ... Wayne Bennett is obviously the only guy who can win the Broncos another premiership ... and if thats the case the Broncos future looks very bleak indead.

I don't think anyone will be unhappy the Griffin (and hopefully Kearney) are gone, with the exception of maybe those two themselves.

We would have been far better off, getting a coach who would be around for a long time to help build us into a premiership threat again. and without knowing the credentials of all rugby league coaches on the planet, my choice would have been the Walker brothers from ipswich (unless there are better credentialed experienced coaches out there somewhere).

Hopefully Bennett packs Kennedy's bags for him and sends him off into the sunset so he can re-sign Hannant. As for McGuire, once he calms down he will realise that Bennett can elevate him to a QLD and Test Front rower which is what he wants.

I can see it now.

Bennett will still be the Broncos coach when he is 98.

Wow I never expected this, I could see him coming back in another role but not as a coach.

I've got doubts about this as Bennett's efforts with Newcastle were dissapointing and he seems to have gone past his date.

If he gets results, then who cares how old he is or how long he is coach for?

That was a long time ago. Barba might get offered a release but he has little options if he wants to stay in Brisbane.

Well if I'm honest I feel a bit disappointed for Griffin however his record of wins and losses is quite poor and the last few years have been really tough to watch, so I think a change was always going to happen.

I do feel that the players have almost become too comfortable with Griffin tho and it shows in their commitment in some games. When the boys are motivated they can play very well, the problem is many of them have been allowed to put in half efforts one week knowing they will still be in the team next week. The protected species in the boys club is now dismantled and that's probably pretty scary for a few of them.

Perhaps it was time for a change, I'm just not sure that bringing Bennett back is going to help us in the long term. I would have preferred that Griffin had the chance to finish the year and then be re-assessed, if we lost Bennett in the process then so be it.

It all feels a bit too much like going back to your ex-wife for a quick bang, fun in the short term but you know there is going be problems eventually.

Can't believe the negativity shown towards Bennett. Some broncos fans you are. The guys is a master class coach. He's produced Premiership winners & Origin warhorses. He delivered 6 premierships to the GREATEST CLUB OF ALL TIME. It's a great win for the Broncos!!! I know he will bring us a premiership again. GO BRISBANE BRONCOS!!!!!
