Completely 100% on all of thisI'll be honest, I'd have been equally happy with Maguire or Seibold, but something about Seibold just has me feeling we'd have a better future with him in charge. He just seems extremely intelligent, and that's rare when you have coaches as dumb as Bellamy, so it tells me he's someone who'd be open minded, a constant student and ever adapting. Whether he has the man management and hard edge, only time will tell but it's a coaching appointment I'm happy with.
I hope h sees out his year at Souths and Bennett sees out the year with us.
I don't give a **** about swapping coaches early, none of this "untenable bullshit". I trust Bennett, and I still believe he is one of the elite coaches of rugby league, if we weren't hammered by injuries this year we were undoubtedly contenders, and he should get a dignified send off.

I believe he also studied at Harvard, still though, plenty of educated people that still come across as pretty bone headed. He seems like a genuinely intelligent person, most coaches are genuine dumb *****. Meninga, Walters, Bellamy, Stuart, you name it. Now whether being "smart" is required to be a good coach, I don't know. Bellamy seems to have no brains at all, but manages pretty well. That's because he is, he has a Bachelor of Teaching and a Masters of Education and lectured in the Faculty of Education at the University of Southern Queensland after his retirement from rugby league.
