A 1000-1 chance Darius does move to Souths, We will hopefully see some of the comfortable guys pushed by Seibold.

Roberts has barely been able to walk by the end of 95% games. If he was more involved he would be broken

Don’t forget that White went over to the states and sorted Lodges debarcle out.
At the end of the day Wayne bought Lodge to the club, but if not for the board, he would have never been allowed to sign.
Sean O’Sullivan coming next year (Matt’s mrs brother) helps in us retianing him also.
As for TPJ, I think he was always going to follow Bennett, however with how close he is to some of the boys ie Lodge, fafita, Haas he may stick around knowing we will be a major threat for the premiership in the next 3 years.

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, if a few players want to follow Bennett to play under him, that’s fine. I want players playing for the jersey they’re putting on, rather then just one individual within the club.

I understand the sentimentality of wanting to give Bennett his final year and a proper swansong, but to be honest it would be in the best interests of both clubs to just do the deal now and put the new coaches in place. For us, it gives Seibold the chance to build a relationship and a reputation with players like Oates, TPJ, Lodge and Roberts such that they do not want to leave. I just can't see how it will work for either team having a coach who is looking to the following season regarding their preparation.

How can you be so sure after 1 season ?

Can’t be sure but as much as I respect Bennett, I think this has to happen sooner rather than later.

This will be controversial but hear me out.

I think Bennett will win a premiership with Souths and lots of people will be saying told you so and all that and Siebold May take a little longer with the Broncs but in three seasons time, he will have the Broncs back to being a powerhouse. They will be competitive and maybe even contend as soon as next year.

Bennett is still a master coach but not right for this side now. There is too mich baggage there from 2015. The side needs a fresh start and fresh belief. The defense is the archilles heel of the Broncs, Siebold will hopefully rejuvenate that and fix the 9 position.

Whether that means punting Macca or giving him some help off the bench, Macca’s role will change as it needs to do. This Broncs Side is not yet as good overall as Souths in terms of top end but in terms of depth and potential, it is one of the best in the Comp. Sort out the 1 and 9, the sky is the limit.

Souths were a very good defensive unit this season.

Even if Seibold doesn't control the defence, it looks like he knows who to hire to make sure we are a solid defensive unit.

From the outside looking in the bunnies appeared to be more attacking than defensive.

They finished 4th in defence with 437 points conceded behind Rooster 361, Storm 363 and Sharks 423
