How about we just give the Barba brothers to the Titans and take Boyd, someone with reasonable knowledge of the Broncos playing group has told me that Barba isn't exactly highly regarded amongst the senior players, take from that what you will.

even if we lose Barba, still don't want Boyd.

in that scenario Milford to fullback and hopefully Taylor is ready for top grade by next season to play in the halves

Yep, would love to see Taylor promoted next year!

Totally agree and Boyd to titans would be a good fit. Taylor would have to close after a full pre season.

Newcastle Knights fullback Darius Boyd has been admitted to a mental health clinic in order to seek treatment for depression.

"We are ensuring Darius gets the best possible care and treatment at this time," CEO Matt Gidley said on Wednesday.


"Depression is a serious illness in our society and we are pleased Darius has taken the first step in his recovery by acknowledging he needs help.


"Football is secondary at this point, it is important Darius' focus is entirely on his treatment.”


There is no timeframe on Boyd's return to football.


Media are requested to respect Boyd's privacy at this time. The Club will provide any appropriate updates in consultation with Boyd.

I wouldn't put it past him to use that as a cover.

He gets admitted, a month later he says he needs a change of scenery and returns to Brisbane where he will play for the Broncos next year.

No one at Knights will stand in his way if it's for his own "personal health and well being"

That's really not how depression works. It's not a case of just getting really really sad. Hopefully people show him some respect and don't start trying to trivialize this

i dont want to make light of any situation where someone is being admitted to a clinic for depression.

i hope he comes out of it for the better. he has probably been struggling for some time. it would be nice if the media just leaves him alone.

He is already leaving the knights so doesn't need to angle for a release.
