On this day in 1992. World Sevens Final, Broncos v Wigan at the SFS.

It was pouring and the Broncos lost 18-6 to Offiah who scored four.

Well if the 9's and Cowboys trial is anything to go by we'll drop a lot of ball.

Depends on the conditions and first graders

Broncos World Club Series Squad (Alphabetical) Adam Blair Mitchell Dodds James Gavet Alex Glenn Justin Hodges Ben Hunt Jordan Kahu Lachlan Maranta Andrew McCullough Josh McGuire Anthony Milford Kodi Nikorima Joe Ofahengaue Tom Opacic Corey Parker Sam Thaiday Daniel Vidot Aaron Whitchurch

Interesting squad with no sign of Parcell or Waddell...kodi could be number 14 come round 1

Glad about Wadell, not so much Parcell... and still no trace of Garbutt either, but happy to see Dodds in there.

Just putting the squad in a more visible form:

Adam Blair
Mitchell Dodds
James Gavet
Alex Glenn
Justin Hodges
Ben Hunt
Jordan Kahu
Lachlan Maranta
Andrew McCullough
Josh McGuire
Anthony Milford
Kodi Nikorima
Joe Ofahengaue
Tom Opacic
Corey Parker
Sam Thaiday
Daniel Vidot
Aaron Whitchurch

Looks like Kodi has his nose in front of Waddell & Parcell for the bench utility role.

1. Jordan Kahu
2. Lachlan Maranta
3. Aaron Whitchurch
4. Justin Hodges
5. Daniel Vidot
6. Anthony Milford
7. Ben Hunt
8. Josh McGuire
9. Andrew McCullough
10. Adam Blair
11. Alex Glenn
12. Sam Thaiday
13. Corey Parker

14. Kodi Nikorima
15. Mitchell Dodds
16. James Gavet
17. Joe Ofahengaue

Strong team, I assume left centre spot is out of Whitchurch & Opacic, other person will just be going for the experience.

I would have though Parcell would have been ahead of Nikorima.

Pretty sure Garbutt injured his back ay?

Also, thought bennett would've let Eden tag along seeing as he's a "local"

Was denied recently... not injured apparently.

He is fit enough to play.. So I would say he could be out of favor at the Broncos.

I don't think you can read too much into non-selections at this stage of the season, or should I say pre-season.

For all we know, he could have a specific training plan or something, so WB wants him to stay back and work on that. There could be a myriad of reasons.

I think the most likely scenario is that Mitch Garbutt will spend the next 2 weeks preparing his acceptance speech for the captaincy.

I wouldn't discount Opacic making the team at left centre or on the wing

If I'm completely honest, aside from the players who are staying home, I don't think the squad is going to look hugely different from this come Round 1.

How has Sam managed to pull out of the indigenous all Stars match but play in this? Lol

The match will be televised on TV channel Gem at 5.30am Qld time (6.30am AEDT) on Sunday morning February 22.
