Good on ya corey parker, You have certainly given me humble pie, you have been kicking awesome for the last two weeks and I hope you can keep it up, and hopefully you can crack a QLD jersey this year.

He'll be alright kicking for us. He's an 80min player, he'll get better as the season goes on.

Well there is a spot or two available, myles may not be selected, and crocker is not their anymore.

Myles is a shoe-in.

Parker still has a long way to go before he gets another shot at an Origin jersey. Good club player, but not origin standard I reckon. I mean, he had 8 hit-ups for 38m last week? That's crap. He is playing consistnet footy but imo jsut isn't origin ready.

I completely agree Jester, he is going well for us and is making slightly more of an impact than he did the last couple of years but he is a long way off the level he needs to be for Origin selection.

I'm also not a huge Parker fan when he comes to goal kicking. Broncos have never had a dynamite goal kicker, as someone mentioned above, De Vere was probably one of our best.
I think WB said once, you pick your best 17, then you pick your best goal kicker from that. Unfortunately we've never had a dynamo.
You're never too confident when it comes to Parker, you score an important try in an important match and sometimes that goal kick to take it to an 8 point margin is a back breaker but Parker does miss those ones here and there.
I don't care about stats and what not but no one can deny that Parker is not an 'elite' goal kicker but I'm not sure if we have any. I'd be more than happy to see someone take it on, but I want an 80 minute player to, not a fan of switching kickers during the game. If Wallace is up for the extra training... assuming he's going to be a bronco for a long, long time.

Parker's fine. He can average 80% comfortably, and has done so the last 2 weeks. If he continues his form it's a non-issue.

I assume Wallace is practicing to be ready as the backup.

Why? He has been good this year and nate myles hasn't done shit all yet is all but a certainity to get a starting role.

Sure Parker has been good but I'd rather an “as good†backrower who can ball play more - like say, Harrison in the back row with Thaiday, and Johnson at lock with Myles on the bench.

I'm not a fan of Parker in Origin.
He's a good player, but not good enough to be in the origin arena imo.
He certainly would not make the blues side and I don't think we are THAT short for the QLD team either.

I think Myles has been playing ok. He has never really impressed me during normal rounds, but hes one of those players that seems to thrive on origin. Always puts his body on the line and rattles a few cockroach bones in his tackles.

The next few weeks should tell.

And his goal kicking has been well, almost perfect for the last few games.

He'd be good to keep in the team while Origin drains us of so many stars.
