What was the first game you attended?

Brent81's post in the FoxSports Club Day thread got me thinking and I'd be interested to know about everyone's first experience going to a Broncos game.

Apparently my first experience was actually going to a Western Reds game in 96 but I have zero recollection of going. So I'm going to have to say that the 2002 Qualifying Final vs Parramatta. I was twelve years old and this was one of those last minute decisions my folks came up with. I'd love to watch a replay of the game, but my memory is foggy at best. The little I remember is that the Broncos got off to a slow start and Parra opened with an 8-10 point lead. Brisbane eventually fought back with Langer scoring his 100th try to seal the game. It was something of a dream night to be a Broncos fan. A club legend achieved a milestone, we beat the Eels who were our biggest rivals at the time and the Knights got beaten and were virtually out of the running with Joey suffering a horrific injury. As a selfish 12 year old, I was on cloud nine, only for it to all come crashing down two weeks later.

Meanwhile, the first game I went to at Suncorp was the Round 22 03 Clash against Penrith. We basically had an entire row to ourselves, with the folks inviting a bunch of rellos along to get their first taste of Suncorp. Unfortunately, the game itself was really nothing to write home about with Penrith in firm control from start to finish, grinding out a 13-6 win. Usually I couldn't stand to watch the Broncos lose, but on this occasion I knew what I was getting myself into and I was somewhat OK with it since I enjoyed watching Penrith. They had a killer side that year and it was fun watching Rhys Lightening and Presto rip teams apart.

I'm pretty sure I have been to a couple before the 97 season, but I can't quite remember the exact day and year.

The one I remember is the Round 22, 1997 game between Crushers and Magpies at Suncorp Metway Stadium (Before it was Suncorp Stadium).

Actually quite good. You could actually park out in front because they had parking spots available there.

I went there with my footy team and we watched all of the reserve grade matches, the first grade match and we got to play on the field. I spent most of my time making fun of the Magpies mascot.

It was the day Princess Diana died. They made an announcement on the PA system during the game.

There's no way I can remember who was playing but mine would have been in 92 sometime.The old Lang Park .They still sold beer in cans . Every time the ref made a call the crowd didn't like my old man would cover the back of my head as they came raining down from everywhere . Aaaah memories.

The first game I went to was a Broncos Vs Roosters preseason game that was played in Toowoomba. There was so much fog that it was impossible to see 4-5 metres in front of you.

Same, dad got me a Broncos jersey for my birthday and I was over the moon, Bronco for life :)

First game at QE2 stadium was against the Bulldogs in 1993, Steve Renouf bagged 4 tries!

And my first game at the redeveloped Suncorp stadium was against the Knights. I looked so forward to this match but the Knights ruined the party which pretty much summed up the season, I did make the photos in the courier mail special though.

My Grandpa took me to see Broncos V Balmain at ANZ stadium in '93. I may have gone to others prior but I have no recollection. I was 6 at the time of the Tigers game but I have vivid memories of the Broncs giving them a hiding and everyone stamping their feet.

I went to a few games at Anz stadium. I remember us beating North Sydney 40-0... Conescu and Killroy ran amuck! Dont know what year it was...

I can't remember the first game I went to. It must have been an early one as Wally was playing.

The first game I can remember though is the one vs the Sharks where it was 2-2 at half time and we won 40-2. Those were the days!

Around 2007, Broncos Vs Tigers at Suncorp. Won 48-18, Khunt scored a hat trick!

1998 Round 15 - Broncos vs Western Suburbs.

Dad got free tickets through work so he decided to take me to a game after years of watching on TV. I was so excited to go and the Broncs won 56-4! Renouf scored 3 and Sailor got 2. It was great because they were my favourite players. Chuffed.

Was it against Canberra in around 2001? I was there too. They refunded our tickets from the game in Toowoomba for that game.

hmmm don't think so . It was a bit earlier than that .I was just a kid. It was the first naked chick I ever seen irl . I never even got to thank her . Probably 93 or 94 . nice pics btw .
