Where will we finish?

Our form needs to change against the Rabbitohs, we need a good win to get some confidence back in the side.

On paper, our run home isn't too bad. But given our current form, we could easily drop a few games. So where do you think we will end up? And how far in the finals do you think we will go if we do make it?

Our run home.

Round 19 - Rabbitohs in Sydney
Round 20 - Panthers in Brisbane.
Round 21 - Roosters in Sydney.
Round 22 - Dragons in Sydney.
Round 23 - Eels in Brisbane.
Round 24 - Bulldogs in Brisbane.
Round 25 - Storm in Melbourne.
Round 26 - Roosters in Brisbane.

If we were to get back to our best, I could see us winning 7 from those 9.

But, we do have quite a few danger games there.

Roosters have been terrible this year. But our games against them in Sydney and Brisbane tend to be close ones. It wouldn't surprise me to see them go up a gear against us.

The Eels are another one. They have a knack for being a thorn in our side at Suncorp.

Dragons in Sydney. On paper, we should win. But you do have to remember Bennett's record against the Dragons and his former sides lately..

The Bulldogs have found a bit of form and could go on a run. Consistency has been an issue for them this year, but if they play well up here, it's going to be a very tough game for us.

And of course, Storm in Melbourne. I can't see us winning that. But if we can somehow nab a win, that would convince me we can win the premiership this year.

I think we will finish 4th-5th. I can't see us getting any higher than that.

I think a second week exit.. Unless there is a dramatic attitude change at the Broncos and we get back to the way we were in 2015.

I pretty much agree with your analysis. Looking at the ladder, I believe we're the 4th best team in the comp, and I think that's where we'll get to come September. Top 4 would still be the aim.

I can't see Melbourne or NQ dropping enough games as they start to gear up for finals footy for us to catch them even if we were playing at our best. I've been waiting for the Sharkies to fade, but that hasn't happened yet. Certainly they'd be out of reach for us now unless they hit a serious snag. I still don't see them doing the business in the finals though. Not against Melbourne or the Cows.

There is an obvious gap between the current top 3 and the rest of the field at the moment. I'm confident we'll be the best of the chasing pack.

Top 4 feels about right. Eels and Dragons will drop off once they have no chance to the finals.

Hopefully the Sharks continue their streak just to go out in straight sets come the finals. I want to see Gallen cry

If we lose to Souths we struggle to make the 8.

5th, beating 8th in week one and eliminated in week two sounds right on current form.

Sad to say I think thee is a fair chance we wont even make the eight. I don't quite see where the confidence is coming from to even win half these games. We have just come off two floggings. WB seems to be persisting with the slow line speed tactic which is clearly not working. Our attack looks very predictable and has was very easily handled by the Dogs and The Storm. Oates looks to be playing injured. Hunt is struggling, Milford is trying to do too much on his own. Where is Kahu?

Looking like 2014 to me. We may scrape into the eight.

Don't care where we finish the regular season......we'll make it into the finals as we're hitting our peak

and then take out the GF from there.
I like the confidence :D

I love your optimism and I hope you are right.

If we don't beat Souths we will officially be in crisis, they are down on confidence, on a losing streak and without Reynolds. The games against the Dragons and Parramatta are winnable but they might prove a challenge especially if Parra were stripped of points, We should also beat the Panthers depending which Panthers turn up. The Bulldogs always seem to do well against us and remember they beat us here last year and the game in Melbourne is obviously challenging. We should easily beat the Roosters.

I actually see a potential winning streak starting with the game against Souths. With a bit of luck we could pinch a top 4 spot. To win the premiership we MUST finish in the top 4, no team this century has won a premiership from outside the top 4 and it's only happened once in the history of an 8 team finals series.

I hope the boys watched tonight's game.

Also we get to play the Roosters twice, no excuses if we lose either of them.

What's the point if we can't beat any of the top 8 sides?

We have beaten the Cowboys, Canberra & Parra, we lost to the sharks by 2 points at their home ground. Warriors, Melbourne & Canterbury got us whilst we were Origin & injury affected & in a form slump.

We can beat any team in this comp with our full squad when it is somewhere near top form. It is just a matter of whether they can pull themselves out of the hole they have dug. That starts with Souths.

Agreed, but getting our full strength squad together is the biggest issue. Reed is cooked physically and form wise; I hope Opacic can step up when he's back from injury, because we have no other outside backs, wingers especially, who can cut the mustard at the moment.

I don't think we have the defensive gameplan to handle the likes of Melbourne, sharks and dogs.
