Which NSW Origin Player Do You Hate The Most?

Rod Wishart was too simple to hate!

My parents picked me up from Wollongong Uni on Good Friday many years ago to go down the coast for Uni holidays. The traffic was bumper to bumper through Kiama as it used to be when I noticed that Rod Wishart was driving the car behind us.

He smiled and waved so I did the only sensible thing...grabbed my Broncos jersey out of my bag and held it up in the back windscreen for him to see!

He got a laugh out of it and honked and waved to us when he eventually turned off at Gerringong

Yeah what's there to hate about Roddy?

+1. Other than his knack for scoring Origin tries, he seemed likeable enough.

Greg Bird by a country mile !!

And don't give me that old chestnut "he plays with a lot of passion" either .... he's a grubby dirty cheapshot merchant.

I hope Sammy smashes him and breaks most of the pricks ribs in the process !!!!!!!!!!

See for me Bird would be my 3rd most likeable NSW player..

You do have sympathy for criminals.

Notice i said player not person?

Some of us know how to seperate what a player does on field to what they do off field, And i love watching a player who can get under their opponents skin that shit can win you a game. (Lose it as well but you take the good with the bad)

So Michael Penis must be your favourite player then.

I rate him highly no doubt, Same with Hodges and Gallen

Frankly I prefer players that let their skills do the talking. I think guys that resort to niggle and cheap shots are absolute ***** and deserve to be hit by a bus.

Just saying.

Bird is one of the best players with the ball in hand and one of the worst without it.

I disagree. Part of being a good player with ball in hand is the ability to dispose of it cleanly and with quality. He couldn't pass wind.

Maybe by five eigth standards, for a backrower he's a good ball-player with the odd great ball on him.

He's an average backrower who is only in the NSW side to intimidate/unsettle/bash the QLD'ers.

If they were looking at better attacking players they could've picked half a dozen better backrowers

Like?

I'd only have Lewis before him and that's all.

I used to rage against NSW and Australian selectors picking Bird at 6. But he's pretty good in the backrow. Hits and runs hard and has a decent enough passing game when he's not required to do it too often. And yes, he's plays cheap and dirty sometimes, but he also plays hard, which is what NSW need.
