It shits me how much this obsession with Origin ruins the Broncos season.
yes I still cheer for Queensland, and in that respect, cheer for Slater, Cronk and Smith 3 nights a year (plus the Tests), but every other week I hope they get their heads kicked in.

I've always been proud that the maroons team is filled with Broncos players.......

It's a great attribute to our club.

We've still managed 6 premierships haven't we.......do actually expect to win every premiership every year

grow up.....

I'm proud of the fact that on top of supplying our great state side with the worlds best players we can still win premierships and win games with depleted sides.

You just don't get it. No other professional competition in any sport in the world would let a major club competition be so disrupted by a representative series. In all other pro sports, when there's a rep series of some kind the club competitions stop for the duration.

Until the NRL does that it remains a pseudo amateur sport pretending to be professional.

Where did I say we've won it enough....? I said you can't expect to win it every year. That's reality.

We're a successful club .......we've missed the semis twice in the last 20 yrs. Some of that success can be actually attributed to Brisbane players playing SOO. You don't think players improve as a result of having played in the most intense competition at the games highest level? Having Broncos players heavily involved in Origin doesn't annoy me half as much as the whining does from spoilt brats complaining about how State of Origin cost them a premiership. Origin has been a part of our club since before we were formed. It's part of our history.

Cam Smith is as bigger part of Origin folk lore as was Darren Lockyer or Alf. I'm not going to hate on him either because of what his club did or got caught doing.

As a footballer and a leader of my state and national team, Cam Smith does me proud and deserves my respect.

No, you don't get it.

SOO is awesome, but please don't embarrass yourself by trying to say other sports don't have awesome competitions of their own. The only sport that doesn't have it, is fumble ball, but they're an embarrassment anyway.

SOO doesn't have to be played outside of the NRL season, but it can certainly be played in stand-alone weekends, where clubs like the Broncos don't have to pay for their success.
And that is what most other sports actually DO, they make sure that the most successful clubs aren't punished because their players are called for rep duty!

Cowboys are a standout 2nd for me, and I think they are a big show. At $14.50 currently, I think they are a great bet. The 2 best props in the game, JT and Matty Bowen to set up the points and a rejuvenated Tatey. They have the ingredients in my view and a good chance to sneak into the top 4.

Of the rest, I have a bit of a soft spot for Cronulla so would wish them well and be pleased for their fans if their long suffering ended.

The rest can go and get stuffed.

All this anti Melbourne talk is fair enough, but a bit wasted in my view. What a great lay currently at $4.70. They have the big 3 yes, and the best coach yes ... but not much else. Lay, lay, lay. I have. Sunny Queen on my face probly, but I am prone to a statement.
