It is easier to blame the ref but he wasn't that bad.. The Aussies threw it away with a few dumb play because some players just can't handle the pressure of the big stage... Watmough gave away plenty of penalties and Slater and Monaghan gave away tries.. These things happen the underdog wins and International League may have a place..

The ref was absolutely fine, in fact better than most in the NRL.
The ref has NOTHING at all to do with the loss.
NZ won it fair and sqaure.

Yeah, given what we put up with in the NRL, the ref can't be blamed.

Besides, the Roos at their best are well above any influence by the officials. Simple fact is that NZ produced a level of play required to beat Australia and force them into an arm wrestle. It payed off and they deserved their win.

Just like after 2005, its up to the next Roos squad to right tonights wrongs and restore pride to one of the most sucessful jerseys in sport.

haha. Good point about the arm-wrestle. I was thinking before the game that was the only way they were going to win tonight. They had to take the aussies out of their comfort zone, which they did beautifully. But he didn't cost us the game. Stupid, stupid errors did. Even without Klein's mistakes, NZ would've won that match.
