I'm no Eddie McGuire fan but no way is he worse than Sandy Roberts. Channel 7 have a long, proud history of employing the worst commentators in Australia from Roberts to Garry Wilkinson to Tom Williams' woeful efforts at the kayaking last olympics

Listening to Eddie is definitely better than listening to Sandy Roberts. At this point, I'd even say that listening to Eddie is better than listening to Alisa Camplin. She was incredibly annoying during that event. I know she was excited and all, but her voice is just not made for being part of a commentary team.

You can work out what she means when she clarifies...

- created some of the high difficulty jumps that are now common in competition
- been to 5 Olympics

I think what she meant to say was she's achieved more than anyone else in her sport, without winning an Olympic medal, which is fair comment. But to say "I'm the greatest athlete of all time in my sport" comes across as less than gracious after finishing 5th...

Yeh it's all over. Closing ceremony was today.

The Hockey was a great game, but a big F YOU to Channel 9. I didn't get up early enough to watch it live, but caught the replay on later in the day. They went to a commercial, and came back to Ken Sutcliffe and he said "We are going to cross to the closing ceremony right after the Gold Medal game, of course Canada taking out the final against the USA in overtime". Seriously, if that's worth a ban on BHQ then Ken should get a ban from Channel 9!!!!!! [icon_non

100% correct Coxy. Both networks have no idea. When the London Games come around I will definately be buying the Foxtel coverage if they are offering the same sort of deal.
