I don't for a second believe he is fuming. There have been no quotes and I believe the article originated from news.com. He's been on the record telling of his thoughts and said he is happy to play anywhere.

To be honest, this just seems like typical media beat up. Manager playing his card close to his chest, probably looking at conning the Broncos into an upgrade almost as compensation for being "out of position".

From what I've seen and heard from Hoffman, he wouldn't be "fuming" or about to walk out. He might have a tinge of disappointment that he might be shifted from his position again, but he'll respond to that with wanting to improve his game and make Barba fight him for that spot. He's not a sook like a certain other player who was shifted from his favourite position and then packed up and left to the wooden spooners...

Hopefully this all gets resolved - I'm a fan of Hoffman but you can't knock back a player like Barba.

I don't blame Hoffman for holding off negotiations at this point. Why sell himself short, when he could be earning fullback money elsewhere? Hopefully it's just business but if not I can understand his POV.

I just hope the Broncos don't bend over backwards to placate him and I see nothing in his game to suggest he'd make a quality five eigth.

I'd actually have no problem with him earning good coin as a winger. He won't be able to demand big cash as a FB, but he could as a winger. In which case, what's the point?

sounds like hook is thinking of giving in to the baby (hoffman) and is considering playing barba at 5/8th. If hook does this then he really is nothing but a soft door mat. Dally M fullback who has signed at a bargain price, can setup and score length of field tries but will have to make way for a sooky cry baby (hoffman)

please hook, i'm begging you not to mould barba into a boring, predictable anthony griffin model player. and seriously, what would hoffman rather be? a premiership winning winger or a wooden spooning fullback?

IF Hoffman really is sooking he is deluded. The writing was on the wall when Norman was picked at fullback in front of him and then when we were using Hodges as fullback when we got into an attacking position.

It can't be true .......the stories about Hoffman's attitude problems are rubbish

I've heard from a very good source that Hoffman isn't fuming over the signing of Barba. I don't believe he is that is why IF is in capital letters. Enjoy beating that dead horse of yours. Another agenda for XXXX

Please, can I hear it from Hoffys lips that he is unhappy ! If not then I will continue to treat these allegations that he is with scant regard . The chance to play anywhere for the Broncs is golden, a truly classy outfit that kids will continue to dream of representing . True ,we have lost a little lustre since WBs departure but we are not average and the league gods willing, we never will be.

Well said......I feel exactly the same.

Except I'm taking the opposite stance in believing where there's smoke there's fire, re: his attitude. There were reports posted here that on twitter and instagram Hoffman's account was saying his was upset and was posting little sad smiley's.........I don't know first hand, I don't bother with twitter or the other thing.

As for your description of playing first grade for Brisbane, you are spot on. Playing any where in the side should be respected and honoured. Hoffman is following a proud tradition of excellent wingers who donned the maroon and gold.....he should be thankful

the ungrateful merkin.

(if it's true)

Let's say we don't get Milford......

Who plays 6?

I'd say the discussion re Barba as 5/8 has more to do with the fact that, at this stage, we have nobody to partner Hunt.....not because Hoffman is having a hissy fit.

When Locky hosed down the ridiculous asking price rumoured about Barba ......he did refer to Barba as a 5/8

Freudian slip ......?

But then, aren't we lucky we have a FB and 5/8 rolled up into one

The more the day goes on the more annoyed I get about this story.

Hoffman is upset because we signed a dally M player who is competing for the position he wants? Suck it up princess. If Hook gives in and puts Barba at 5/8 to please Hoffman then I'm going straight onto the sack hook bandwagon.

There's a lot of time between now and 2014, so who knows what will happen.

Hoffman's not upset. You're relying on journalists reporting a manager...

Please spwn . Have you heard from Hoffy he is upset ? I've been bagged by people in the past but amazingly face to face, not a peep lol. If he is upset he's got the world at his feet, he could use social media for example !

Isn't is then also possibly true, that you like to eat candles in your spare time? It might be true if there was an article written about it somewhere on the internet, if anyone could be bothered to try to read something about it somewhere. Pretty sure I think I heard from someone though, that you like to eat candles in your spare time.

It might be true. I think it is.

Please don't take this to heart. But mate, honestly, it sounds like you'd believe just about anything a journalist writes on an internet site just so people will read it.
