You know, if nothing else I'd consider Wallace on the bench to play hooker for the Blues. I reckon he'd be a gun in that position.

well done broncos, 1st half was literally the prefect half of any club match in history imho, the best i seen atleast. 2nd half was horrible, the broncos defiantly got tired, and very quickly. Dragons stood up and i **** my pants, i don't know what happened but F me, it wasn't good. Anderson wasn't good at all, i know of no replacements better, but even my gf said "who is that old guy, he is ****" and i was like yeah, that's Anderson, hes only 3 years younger than me and now im apparently an old bastard, fml.... but yeah he was **** and added nothing, gillet is a king, even when he got smashed on his ass, didn't shy away at all. Wallace proved me wrong, i said lockyer made him look good but boy was i wrong, this year he is a winner, the broncos are hardcore premier contestants.

i thought sammy was really poor tonight, and to be honest, he hasn't impressed me this year. he made simple mistakes tonight, and not enough metres and tackle to make up for it.

I've always Heena fan of Wallace, I'm happy he's playing so well this year.
Hannant is just pure machine, one of the best props in the game an Macca had a good game, I just hope he continues with that form.

May least his mistakes were at the right end of the field

Game of two halves. Brilliant first half but ordinary 2nd. Macca was awesome tonight, but the best thing is that we limited Soward and Morris those are the players I fear every time we play them. Good win boys and keep up the good work.

Got a heritage jersey on the way to the game. Still has WOW as the sleeve sponsor. Odd. But who cares, I like the design

Thaiday - He's a gun but I have to say it - he drops ball at CRUCIAL times (coach killer). One day ... it might be in a really big game (aka SIMS 2008 -not hating on SIMS, I'm just saying - something like that incident) He makes up for it no doubt but I just hope... it never causes heartbreak!

Wasn't Sam guilty of that against the Dragons in that heartbreaker in 2006?

In fairness to Sam, I think he was solely responsible for one of the mistakes - the first one in the second half. The others can be shared with Macca who threw it well in front of him & Hannant who dropped a sitter. It's definitely apart of his game he needs to address though and I hope he steps it up soon rather than later because we're far from seeing the best of Slammin' Sam.

I'm fairly impressed with the way the boys are rolling along at the moment.

The second half fadeout last night was more likely fatigue setting in .... they would've been zapped scoring all those points in the first session !!
For mine, Gillett needs to go back to the bench .... probably when Parker comes back. He provides way too much impact from the bench.

Wallace is playing awesome isn't he

I really am glad we decided to keep him and not sign another halfback.

The biggest impact slammin' Sam had was when he got early ball on the right. He HAS to go back out there. Hopefully when Parker is back.

there is no right end of the field for those dropped balls, there are a lot of situations where i might agree with you, but when you have the other team under the pump on their goal line you need to maintain that pressure and he failed, twice. if that had been scott anderson this whole site would be baying for blood.

Thing is we can forgive the odd poor game or mistakes from the guys who consistently perform to a high standard. Anderson is yet to prove his value to the side

Wow what a performance......if the game only went for 40 minutes lol.

That first half was as close to perfection as I've ever seen. McCullough has been coming on in leaps and bounds since late last year, and this game really showed how good he can be. Very very impressed with him.

Wallace, well most know I'm not his biggest fan - but I've always hoped he would lay his cards on the table and show us what he's got, and since mid last year he has started to impress me a lot. He was brilliant last night. He's really stood up and taken control this year, and I have very little doubts about our ability to score points with him running the show anymore. It seems like playing second fiddle to Lockyer just sapped him of any creative ability as he was more just a ball funnel. Cannot express how happy I am with his improvement. As of this game, I am glad we have him as our halfback. He's shown good things over the last half a season, last night cemented his spot IMO.

Norman was great in that first half too. His running game IMO is his biggest assett, and he's starting to pick and choose when best to use it.

Thaiday really needs to do something about his handling though, it's getting beyond a joke now. He deadest drops sitters at least twice a game these days. They will come back to haunt us against the top teams.

McGuire just works the house down, and we really fell apart when they inexplicably benched him mid second half. He's an 80 minute workhorse who actually runs with some gusto and tackles anything that moves - why only give him 40 mins again after giving him 60 last week where he was outstanding? He's our best prop by a mile, he needs to get 60+ minutes a game. He's gotta be a shoe in for the QLD team this year too.

The second half, well that needs addressing. No McCullough and no McGuire for most of it, and we capitulated. No coincidence there.

Anyway, glad we got the win, and glad to see that we can score points against top teams.

Agree with most of it, but last night was Macca's first good performance all season. In every other game the Broncos have lifted when he's gone off and Ben Hunt's come on. Last night was the opposite.

Imagine if they both had crackers at the same time! They're different players so they bring different things to the field when they're on. Hunt more explosive with the ball, Macca a stronger defender and better dummyhalf runner.
