WOW! Unlike most, I have respect for Gallop and think he's handled a difficult job admirably. Before you can say this is good news, let's see who his replacement is.

But given we are in the midst of new TV negotiations I think it's good timing. Gallop has previously failed in that regard, and the game has been short changed as a result. He's been too sycophantic to channel 9 and Fox Sports, so hopefully they'll have someone who hits a bit harder.

Please be John Ribot. Please be John Ribot! :P
 
Whether people like Ribot or not, he knows how to run things.

He won't take shyte from anyone or any club.
 
And if the Stewart brothers tried the same stunt with Ribot as they did with Gallop, he would've drop kicked their private areas.

Well this pretty much came out of nowhere.

I know I'm in the minority, but I think Gallop did a pretty good job during his tenure. He was a very respectable fellow, so I wish him all the best.
 
Gallop did do a good job but he could have always been better. I look forward to seeing who the next CEO is.

Imagine all the squealing from the NSWRL if he was appointed though, LOLZ.

Gallop did a pretty good job given all the crap he had to deal with. Hopefully the ARLC appoints someone with an once of business sense, which would rule out anyone involved in any Sydney club.

Wayne Pearce is a member of the independant commision so he might get promoted.
 
I hope John Grant doesn't get the job or one of his 'friends'.

IMO: John Grant is feathering his own nest & only looking after himself.
