I don't have an issue with people voicing their opinions and criticism. I do when it's just a "bashathon" or deprived of common sense, which btw, I don't think applies to you... Besides, it's one thing to voice your emotionally charged opinions during a game, which is why I tend to ignore most comments in the live thread.

Obviously, that's my way of looking at things, but I prefer to cool down first before making comments, and especially when it comes to the Broncs, I often need a second look at things before delivering opinions.
I can voice what I think might work better, but I won't go down the path that a coach is an idiot for not doing this or that, because I simply don't have the facts to know whether there are reasons for it not to happen.

I'd love to see Kemp on the wing, but I can't bag Hook for not doing it, because he may have very good reasons for it, unbeknown to me!
Same thing with the Hunt love. People keep saying he deserves a go, and maybe he does, but there may be plenty of reasons why Griffin doesn't do it, which we don't know about.
Hala is another example. What do we really know about his levels of fitness to justify the barrage he copped for not keeping him on the paddock longer?

I will be the first to admit that Griffin's use of the bench sometimes baffles me, but that is something that is based on what I see during the games.
It's a different thing to bag him for not giving Hunt opportunities or not replacing Maranta with Kemp, because I don't know what the reasons are behind that.
What it comes down it is that I won't bag someone based on speculation!

Also, while I think sarcasm has a place to take arrogant twats down a few notches, I really dislike its use to belittle someone's opinion. As Ning said, it's the lowest form of wit!

BP had a sarcastic dig at me for saying Hala should play more minutes implying that I was pretending to know better than the coaching staff and I simply returned serve. I don't remember belittling Jeba btw, unless you meant to say BP there.

Oh and a new coach, preferably somebody with more than 10K posts because Hook knows absolutely nothing about football. Didn't you see he only played David Hala for 13 minutes? Moron!!!!!!

So just to clear it up, it wasn't so much a point about criticisng the club or suggesting an alternative rather it was about insulting the coach for something that wouldn't have made a big difference and as it turned out, wasn't as bad as you originally thought.

However, it wasn't the right thing to do and I'm sorry. I'll try and be on my best behaviour from now on and refute from unfunny sarcastic vents.

I concede I have "emotionally charged opinions" during live game threads but I'm really passionate about the Broncos so I get edgy during games.

I somewhat agree that Maranta is in the team for a lack of better circumstances but I'm a Kemp fan boy so I want to see him back even though I don't believe Maranta will get replaced soon simply because we don't have better options. Realistically, he's only in the team because both Copley and JYY are injured so he's our third choice winger.

I disagree with Griffins use of the bench I simply think he uses it badly, that's not me bagging Griffin but IMO his use of the bench is not his strength as a coach. Unless Hala was injured after a 30 minute break he would definitely have been fit enough to play 10 minutes instead of a tired Thaiday who had minimal impact against Souths because he was stuffed. I also think Hunt should be given some gametime in the halves but Griffin obviously sees him as a bench hooker, that's fine I just wish it wasn't that way because I think Baptise would offer more off the bench and Hunt is more a half than a dummy half.

Again though, I wasn't using sarcasm to belittle Jeba, truth be told I didn't even think it would be perceived that way because the post wasn't even meant to be about him.

I'm happy to leave it at that, and I apologize to Jeba if my post came across as belittling him because that truly wasn't my intention.

The most cut-throat example I can remember is Corey Norman being dropped...to the bench...for Ben Hunt.

Difficult to dispute anything in 2011 given we enjoyed our most successful regular season since 2011, but there were definitely times last year where players were lucky to avoid the axe. In fairness, we had so many injuries that it was difficult to justify dropping players.

It's a tough balance between being trigger happy, which puts too much pressure on the players' heads, and getting them too comfortable by giving them the chance to consolidate a spot for too long.
There is also the not so small matter of having someone available who is a chance of doing a better job than the incumbent.

Personally, I don't believe the team has been going nearly as bad as reading BHQ would indicate, and Maranta is the only player that justifies demotion this season, but I don't think there is someone capable of replacing him at an advantage.
