Just checked NRL.com

In the attacking Stats only Hoffman (tries scroed) and Parker (Hitups) are in the top five on any attacking stats.

In defence its even worse. Parker (tackles) is good but in missed tackles we own spot 1. Prince and 2. Gillet. That needs to be improved greatly.

Didnt think we were that bad really. I know there only stat's but they do give you a general idea.
There is a problem in our defense line not just gillett and prince as we are 3rd worst in the comp in miss tackles but than again stats are stats.

I think Gillett needs to go back to the bench when McGuire returns to full fitness.
What would be the point?

One, it would put him on notice to lift his effort. Two, it would reduce fatigue. If there's no improvement in tackle effectiveness, it's not fatigue, it's laziness or technique.

Well, Thaiday would go back to his preferred position for starters. I think if McGuire gets back to his 2011 form, we'd benefit more as a side having him and Hannant start the game. I've personally always thought that starting with your best front rowers is more important than anything.

I think his technique needs looking into.

He's either grabbing with his arms or his mistiming shoulder charges/tackles.

He needs to spend time with someone like Toni Carroll.......Peter Ryan....Gilly would be great, but his Titans shirt couldn't allow it.

Agreed.....number one benefit of having Gillett back to the bench and McGuire fit and starting.

Hala fit as well....

I think Anderson's time is done.....Dodds too. We should starting pushing through with younger blokes like this Jaryd Wallace kid and Hala

Yeah agree with all of that. There are some real good young forwards on the books and they need to find a place in our team before another coach offers them a place in theirs

I really want Thaiday as a 2nd rower and McGuire starting in the forwards. Then Gillett can rotate with Glenn and Thaiday on the bench so all of them get some rest. Then have Hala and Wallace (or another young guy) on the bench with Gillett and probably Hunt (because Griffin keeps insisting on having Hunt backup Macca).

Your halves are supposed to be your attacking point.. When was the last time peter wallace made a line break. . What year?.. We need someone that can take the line on and break it..A half that puts the defense in 2 minds.... The defense don't care if Wallace runs because they know he can't hurt them

I think it was around 1998-99..........the cops were chasing him through Penrith's burbs for snow dropping wash lines.

NRL average for line breaks is one this season, Wallace doesn't have any and Prince has one.

Not even close, hasn't been for a couple of years now. I rate Ben Hunt higher then Peter Wallace and i'm sure other people wouldn't mind seeing him out of the side too, even if it just takes him getting dropped for a few games but even then that didn't help with origin so who knows.

You have nothing to judge that on though. Hunt doesn't replace Wallace when he's on the field, and comparing his performance in any lower grade matches to NRL matches is silly.

Didn't you see he only played David Hala for 13 minutes? Moron!!!!!!

Because he was blowing hard, and his inability to get back to A defender (because he was fucked) caused Inglis's try after the half time (Anderson rushed across to make the tackle on George Burgess).

Hala had a great game, but he doesn't have the stamina for big minutes.

BRISBANE"S ENTIRE GAME PLAN INSIDE OPPOSITION 20:

A. 3 one off hit ups to right [option: McCullough dummy for one of the hitups], set for second man play to the left. If we didn't score, bomb it back to the other side where our wingers are coached to play for a mistake; or

B. Parker offload, unstructured second phase play.

Neither Kemp or Hunt at will do a better or worse job than Maranta or Prince at executing this game plan.

Hahaha, oh well, we are all doomed, we have no set plays and we can never score points.

Although it would help if Wallace could threaten the line it's not essential. Although we should have a five eigth who can. Wallace could've running with Glenn off his shoulder (short pass for Glenn to run it) and Norman deeper and further. He could alternatively pass to Norman who can run it (he. Is half threatening) or initiate the sweeping left play. Due to the danger of the sweeping left the defence will be shifting leaving gaps for Glenn and Norman if they see them they run. Also it means if they rush out to Norman Glenn will punish them.

Even with Lockyer our attack was pretty poor. It is just the way we are coached. Our whole game is based on our forwards and maintaining possession. Something needs to change.

With Locky, though, we had that one player with the vision to could direct the attack at the right time. That's missing now, unfortunately, and it doesn't look like anyone currently on the roster has the ability...
