wouldn't hoffman be in tears if vidot signs? then again not even thurston is guaranteed a first grade spot if he signed under the anthony griffin regime

I reckon Reed would be dropped before Hoffman.

Plus Hodges will only play about 10 games max, just like always.

At least I won't have to watch Marantas kick returns when he hits the first line and melts like Wylie Coyote hitting a canyon wall.

I think you're right, Hoffman would be ahead of Reed in the pecking order. If we need to drop Reed because others are ahead of him and no injuries then that's a good selection headache to have.

If we get Vidot, and he actually realises his potential and improves his hands the way Winterstein has since moving to the Cowboys, and if Yow Yeh gets back to his best, or close to it

1. Barba
2. Hoffman
3. Yow Yeh
4. Hodges
5. Vidot

The Barba/Vidot/Hoffman kick returns would be awesome to watch.

Well The Mole is still suggesting a possible Hoffman to the Doggies dependant on Ferguson. Vidot for Hoffman not good IMO.

Well Barba>Hoffman IMO so if he really can't play any other position except for fullback then let him go, it would only be a matter of time anyway before Hasler realises he isn't a NRL level fullback and signs Locke, Ferguson or whoever and he's back to where he started again.

Vidot probably isn't as good a Centre or Winger as Hoffman but he would be a suitable replacement if it comes down to it.

I completely agree with you. If hoffman can't harden up and realise how good he actually has it, then i don't think he will be a great loss. Happy for Vidot to replace him if he wants to be a b*tch about the whole thing

If we lost Hoffman and signed Vidot I wouldn't be terribly unhappy, I obviously wanna keep Josh as he's insanely good, but yeah.

1. Barba
2. Vidot
3. Reed
4. Yow Yeh
5. Kahu

Not bad.

Just can't see Hoffman leaving now that his cousin barba has joined the club. Seems pretty right with him and the rest of their brisbane based family. I tthink the mole is full of shit

Vidot will play centre while Hodges is out.

This guy was at one point actually in contention with JYY for a maroons jersey.

Good signing, still young and has actually been decent when he's played this year.

Oh, and he's big and has pace. We don't have much of either out wide.

Pretty good backline, I'd expect more to see

1. Barba
2. Vidot
3. Reeds
4. Oates/Yow Yeh
5. YowYeh/Oates
6. Hoffman
7. Hunt

It's not what I'd like in the halves and would rather Hoff on a wing, however I'd expect the above. Possibly with Copely in the place of Oates.

We need a half not a fucking winger or centre. I don't give a shit about Vidot.

And with 2 young quality halves crying for a chance people still want Hoffman at 5/8 after he has shown absolutely NO INSTINCTS as a play maker?

So until we can actually sign a half we just sign no one?

No. We give Strasser and Taylor a go, same as the Raiders gave Milford a go

I'm not disagreeing with you, but how would signing vidot affect that happening?

I just can't see the value in signing a centre/winger with Hoffman, Oates, Copley, Reed, Hodges, JYY and Kahu in the ranks while we are screaming for a good halves combination, and in Strasser and Taylor, we MAY have one or more halves as good as Milford
