Bloody disappointing loss tonight. Our defence held up quiet well but our attack let us down yet again. It was a pretty ugly game with plenty of drop ball. Ben Hunt is carrying us in attack and he needs help. Barba is playing on one leg and struggling big time with confidence. Copley looks to be struggling with injury as well. Hoffman just holds us back so much. It has all been said before really. Hannant really has been poor this year. Oates sitting on the bench for 80mins is annoying. Just an overall poor performance with Ben Hunt the only positive.

If nothing changes, I fear what will happen when Hunt inevitably burns himself out trying to carry the team. He's currently doing all the passing AND kicking in the middle of the field plus even his running game is more effective than Hoffman's. And he's (Hoff) supposedly a running 5/8th.

Players worthy of 1st grade tonight: Macca, Hunt, Thaiday, McGuire, Gillo, Vidot, Copley. Parker and Hodgo are givens I guess but Parker needs to go back to Lock (look at how much better Sam is playing in position) and Hodgo needs to cut his errors

Hoffman can **** off the selfish ball-hog. And you all thought Norman was bad.

I fucking hate losing like this.

With our squad we don't deserve to lose games like tonight, really let down by a few key players when we needed them most.

I will admit, he did have a little pressure put on him..

He does what he always does, stutter on the spot, before he gets tackled. Catch, kick...a 5/8 can do that.

The coaching is shocking. We have a brilliant team and the coach is just trying to find a way to put them all on the field at the same time. Hook has to start playing players in their positions and use them effectively. We only managed to score 1 try against a Titans team missing tackles everywhere on a quick track.

Hodgo is undercooked and trying to do too much. Ben barba is trying to do more but isn't given much to work with. We have 3 back rowers that play Origin for a team that hasnt lost a series in almost a decade and yet they have no set plays organized for them. Gillet doesnt get a chance to shine with the ball, parker needs to hit the fringes to get offloads for second phase play and Thaiday needs to get a chance to attack the opposition halfbacks when he has the ball to create space for hodgo & copley.

the game plan hook is using is just so boring and obviously doesn't work. It forces me to drink twice the amount of beer i would usually need to enjoy the footy.

Maranta has to get a spot in the team. He has been great in every area this year. The only error was losing a jump to J Morris in round 1! Hook has allowed his favourite players to get away with screwing up every week. Give someone else a chance to **** up i say!

I'll never know why a few people would be hating on Vidot. 19 runs for 183 metres. He was one of the main reasons we got to good field position early in the second half but the other blokes couldn't capitalise. I thought Vidot was our best overall.

So true.

Echoes from the past ... you can't win at this level with 1 half, and the pressure on Hunt is absurd. That he does as well as he does is a credit to him.

But will things change? No. Our spine has a bad case of scoliosis.

Even so, I'd like to see Copley at FB, Hoffman on the wing and Barba at 5/8 where he will at least get the ball in good position, and have opportunities to play his all round game (including not drop the ball at the back.)

As some others posted, Barba is a sitting duck in Hook's game plan. Hasler knew what to do to get the best out of him by using his forwards intelligently.

Oates. A game breaker on the bench for the game. WTF?

What a waste of talent by this inept coach.

Well that was just plain disappointing and a return to Griffinball 2013

No use of the backs, few standout performers and very poor bench use just summed it up. More from me later I'm off to bed.

This is extremely pointless but how unbelievably bad was that commentary? I swear that was probably the most bias and less insightful commentary of anything I've ever heard in my life. Far out it sounded like they were climaxing every time the Titans did anything remotely good. I seriously could commentate my 4 year old cousins toilet training and be more insightful, entertaining and less one eyed about it. Disgraceful effort from 9 once again.

That's the end of my rant

I'm going to look at the footage of Sezer's try.

In the highlights video, it looked liked Gordon had a hand on Barba which makes it a 2 on 1 strip right? Unfortunately, the highlights video doesn't include the angle I need..

I personally thought they dismissed Gordon touching Barba far too quickly as well. Yes he was touching more of Hunt, but I definitely thought he had a hand on Barba as the strip was made.

If that was the case, it wasn't the only bad call the refs as a whole made. Missing the trip on Hodges, and clear forward passes they had a pretty ordinary night.

No excuse for what we dished up though.

Hadley HAD to have had money on the Titans. Deathriding us and disputing every call that went our way.

Yep. Want to punch that **** so bad. Listening to the Friday night coverage just reinforces how much the Sydney centric media hate us. Love it.

It's a long bow mate. Was a fair try, I'll save you the trouble.

I couldn't call it a try. If your going to pick at sticks, the blatant disregard of the bailey/hodges penalty should make anyone question authority.

Try or no try?

Barba still has hands on the ball at that moment..

I think that's conclusive enough. They're both screenshots of the exact same moment, just different angles.

Isn't the rule where a second player cannot make any kind of contact with the opposing player while a teammate is in the process of stripping the ball? I think that qualifies..

In the end, it really doesn't bother me. I'm one step closer towards winning big money. I put this up to hear thoughts on whether people think it was actually a try or not.

I thought it was very obviously not a try given there were two different Titans players with hands on him when the ball was stripped.

I have no idea what Hunt was trying to do though.
