Your words ....

ps how'd Gillo's try go?

Hey he ran straight for once and scored. My issue was him getting himself lost by running six different directions at once and then grubbering. If he keeps that up I'll have him in my team when I replace Hook in 2 weeks.

Haha I agree. I've posted elsewhere about his mindscrambles instead of doing the second-rowers job of running hard, straight lines at angles into holes. I think it's because he's pulled some amazing things out of his arse in the past and he thinks it'll keep happening.

Is Jack Reed the slowest player in the comp?

After that intercept, he ran out of puff after 50m and Daniel Vidot was jogging beside him.

He's certainly at least twice as slow as the the 2013 version of Maranta.

Close to the slowest player in the history of the game.

Maranta is faster than Reed. It is known.

I'd rather see Maranta on Copley's wing, Copley to left centre and **** Reed off. Please. See, I even used my manners..

Reed is really starting to wear on my patience. At least when Vidot butchered a try, he made up for it with his efforts afterwards. When has Reed ever done that??

I just watched the Reed intercept again. Hoffman couldn't even keep up with Reed or Vidot in support. Hoffman must be playing injured.

It's been a dissapoitment to me to see Reed playing below standard bombing tries, running slow and adding nothing in attack. I genuinely thought he was going to be a gun centre after his first year.

His injury could very well still be lingering but we have suffered from a lack of speed for at least 2 seasons now. No one in our back line is capable of converting an opportunity into a try, whether they are in open space, take an intercept, have an overlap when we have a ways to go to the opposition tryline.

It's a concern.

So true. Watching the Warriors game the other day... Man, they have some speedsters. Hurrell out wide... Shaun Johnson; that guy is seriously the quickest in the comp over 60m or so. I wish we had a Shaun Johnson... Oh wait, Milford's coming.

stop making excuses for Reed - he cannot tackle - yes he has been a tad better in the last 2 games - but he still flings his arms around like duck flapping its wings when he is trying to tackle - never puts his shoulder behind any tackle and that was happening long before his shoulder injury so don't use that as an excuse - he is so slow a model train set could catch him - look at the intercept - by the time he had run 30 metres they had gained 15 metres - he runs like he has a broom stick up his bum - he never makes a break and the only tries he scores are from bombs and that is rear now as well - how could he drop that ball on Friday night.
If you shopped him around I bet no one would take him even at a discounted 25% price and he is taking up $350k to $400k per annum

And yes you are right Brett how come we have not got ANY spedsters in our team - cannot understand it - how come we can't find big tough fast rugged young forwards like the Tigers have found - how come we seriously look so slow and small compared to the clubs that will dominate the comp - Bulldogs - Manly - Titans - Roosters - cowboys Tigers - you know what i mean
