Not really sure about this, we can't just keep on trotting out the origin line. No doubt it is real, but ****, its been reality for the best part of thirty years. By now we should have come up with something other than just ride out the origin period and hope. We have very little grit.. we let adversity become our enemy instead of our ally. Sharks, storm, cowboys... they all went through the origin period as well, but they sit 1, 2, and 3 on the ladder. We are soft.

Yea and the Cowboys and sharks especially have had the same big injury toll as us...

This result and the recent results are exactly what we deserve as a fan base. How many years has Bennett been a top coach? How many times has this kind of slump happened and has he got us out of it? Seriously the guy has the runs on the board and deserves some ****ing credit.

Yet a few months of poor performances amongst and after origin the knifes are out and the tantrums and bullshit are everywhere. While this isn't the case for everywhere, as a supporter group we are as mentally fragile as the players and deserve this and more IMHO.

Only once actually, 2006. We've had plenty of slumps and just been belted out the back door. In our other premiership years we dominated and pretty much belted the shit out of everyone along the way.

So blame injuries, but stop trotting out the origin bullshit that lets us off the hook every year. 30 years... we should have figured it by now.

Scarlett is injured.

Are you Josh Hannay?
No I am not. Are you happy with james Robert performance so far this season. I names seve because Broncos don't have any other good centre in their ranks.

Something about our disallowed try stinks of betting scandal. It would have ruined the 13+ bets and it was paying $5. Hmmmm

Sacking McCullough is laughable. One of the very few who works his ass off every game

Yes Macca does work his arse off every week but that's all he does. He gives the team no attacking option like a good dummy half should. Very slow when he runs and never engages the markers to get our forwards on a roll. Sorry but he'd be one of the worst attacking hookers in the comp.

lets see how you would go playing 80 minutes and making 60 tackles a game and then trying to run for 500 metres.
he was much better earlier in the year when nikorima was giving him a rest for 15 minutes a game

Another week and another sloppy hopeless performance. I just don't know what Bennett needs to do to spark them he is not coaching well enough and must say something or make the hard decisions to turn this around. Apart from Boyd most of the team didn't even try, basic handling errors, terrible defense, poor last tackle options, poor kicking. It was an embarrassing display. How Roberts let Copley through was disgraceful and the try Copley scored in the second half was terrible, Hunt should've easily wrapped him up and stopped him but he didn't. When we were conceding points it didn't look like anyone was trying to fire his teammates up and there didn't seem to be any aggression and they just looked like a beaten team.

Wouldn't be surprised if the Eels took us to the task next Friday

The scariest thing after watching Wayne in that press conference where I thought he was uncharacteristically glum and quiet even by his standards, is I think he has run out of ideas too...

The team aren't playing for him or Corey.

Yeah I don't remember a form slide like this ever? The writing was on the wall early in the season and I was dreading the inevitable, but had no idea we would crash this hard. Currently we are the worst side in the competition or at least on par with the Knights.

I don't even consider Copley being let go to make way for Roberts... Roberts was a straight swap for Hodges... We let Copley go so that we could keep Jack busted Reed. FMD four shoulder surgeries should have been the kicker, but we wait for five and then say hmmm maybe we should let him go.

It's one thing to say to a player you can leave, but it's another thing for that player to actually pick up a club willing to take his salary on. Can you see many being willing to do that for Reed?

Copley was by far the easier sell.

Doesn't help us, but we had to make salary cap room.

Nah **** it man, just put Nikorima in there - Bloke can't tackle but who the **** cares, someone else will do those 60 odd tackles... Tackling is so under-rated bro. YOLO!

To me Roberts looks ineffective in the centres. He looks more like a winger to me .

The young fowards went OK but I did not see anything to rave about.

Going to be a painful end to the season now.

Roberts was just having a bad game. He has been one of our best in the past few weeks. As everyone knows, Gillet is the glue to our right edge defence. The Roosters really exposed his absence.

This is 2005 all over again. Remember we won 10 in a row, then we fell apart like busted custards. That's when Bruno started making moves to get rid of Wayne - end of the season he sacked the entire coaching staff and 2006 happened. The difference between 05 and now is we had Lockyer, Webcke & Civa back then who were still in form. This year we have no obvious saviours.

I thought Roberts should have been given earlier ball.

There was one moment in the first half where Roberts was one on one with Copley and 9 times out of 10 you back Roberts to do something. But he doesn't get passed the ball.

In saying that, with the Broncos throwing the ball around, I thought he should have come in field looking for the ball more. Those are moments when Roberts is at his most dangerous.

He did that against the Panthers, but just stayed out on the right last night.

IMO too many excuses for Roberts. He came off his man for absolutely no reason and then in another few instances, he failed to take his man one on one. It wasnt even like they were caught short? He needs to work on his defence big time.

That's a false dichotomy.

The Hannay comment wasn't just Seve it was aimed at the other 16 Magpies you've named too.
