2017 Line-Ups

Don't blame him, doesn't make sense for us to lose him for a week if Walters doesn't plan to play him.

especially, given we will be playing the Warriors without our Origin players

yeah, backing bennett on this one. no need to **** us over further if he's not going to be in the 17.

I get Bennett, but I think it could still be an excellent experience for Milford.

absolutely it would be, but unfortunately we need Milford to prepare for the Warriors game given the NRL have scheduled us to play them without our Origin players ... unlike Melbourne who have the bye

Bit off topic but did I hear correctly last night one of the commentators saying that Cronulla's next 5 matches will all be at home? Rather convenient considering the time of the year imo.

Next 4, but 5 if you include last night's game.

Round 11 vs Cowboys (H)
Round 12 vs Bulldogs (H)
Round 13 Bye
Round 14 vs Storm (H)
Round 15 vs Tigers (H)
Round 16 vs Sea Eagles (H)

Then they have the Roosters (A) on the Central Coast, a bye before they have to travel to the Gold Coast for the Titans.

I agree, he's not there for fun and games. Thurston is in doubt and they will want to give him to the very end to make a call. It'd be nice to have his replacement in camp. It could be enough to make them pick Munster as cover and not Milford.

Milford has been part of camp before in 2014. Barba, Friend and O'Neill were in camp too in 2011 and didn't play. Chambers in 2008.

Extended squads to cover injury are hardly Kevvie's revolution and clubs have always obliged.

Bennett has had cover in camp when he has been Queensland coach.

Most 18th and 19th mans are from clubs who have the bye that week.

Another reason to overhaul the stupid scheduling of Origin.

1. Slater
2. Boyd
3. Gagai
4. Chambers
5. Holmes
6. Milford
7. Cronk
8. Myles
9. Smith
10. Bolton
11. Thaiday
12. Gillett
13. Papalii

14. Morgan
15. Wallace
16. McGuire
17. Hess

I'd honestly leave out Napa.

The 18th and 19th man get to play for their clubs that weekend don't they? Is the problem that Milford would miss training?

I don't think that was the tick of approval from Sterlo for Roberts.

NSW will go with their media darlings. Hayne/Dugan/ Ferguson/Jennings/Tedesco/Bird/Walker.
No room in their team for a Bronco, lucky for us

Walters was frothing over Milford during the coverage so you can expect him to play 6 with Morgan on the bench - obviously he doesn't play if JT is in.

Bennett was pushing for Wallace last night, he was very complimentary. Called him a great hitter, great amount of minutes against quality sides and can't do anything more to be picked.

Nate Myles getting picked is laughable TBH. He's been putrid this year.

I don't agree with most of this team, but this is purely what I expect the 21 man squad named on Monday to look like -

1. Slater
2. Boyd
3. Chambers
4. O'Neill
5. Gagai
6. Thurston
7. Cronk
8. Lillyman
9. Smith
10. Myles
11. Papalii
12. Gillett
13. McGuire

14. Morgan
15. Guerra
16. Thaiday
17. Napa

18. Oates
19. Milford
20. Holmes
21. Wallace

At least one of Holmes or Oates will be in the 17.

That's the team I'm expecting too. A prop rotation of Lillyman, Myles and Napa is bloody horrible though. None of those 3 will run 100m for the game. We need to get Wallace and/or Bolton in there.
