I'll save my thoughts on our forwards for tomorrow, because I can't be fucked tonight, but we need to have a long hard look at our roster at some point, we're basically losing the forward battle every week, yet again.

Blair & McGuire were the only 2 forwards who did their job well tonight.

Sims - 6 runs, 47 metres
Ese'ese - 6 runs, 41 metres
Su'A - 5 runs, 36 metres
Pangai Jr - 5 runs, 28 metres

Unacceptable, especially from the "props" Sims & Ese'ese.

I'm an Ese'ese fan, but he got 26 mins tonight. Along with tackling and getting one hit up a set (maybe), there's not much time to do anything

Sims also has never been a big metres guy. He's too similar to Blair in that regard

Ben Hunt, needs to find form fast... another woeful game.

Also, Corey Oates, what the actual .... kicks ball off the ground when six to go in great field position. Throws a shocker of a forward pass in great field position. Goes MIA during a crucial moment when Moga has the ability to offload 1m from the line with no other bronco in sight.

That SOO game destroyed a lot of confidence for him and others I think.
I thought Oates was offside when he did that kick. The MIA one was after Oates was with the trainer after copping a knock.

I dont like bagging Moose, but he isnt a lock. I'd just bite the bullet and play Arrow there. Capable of playing big minutes and actually knows how to play the role. He might not be everyones cup of tea, but at the end of the day he is a lock. Moose isnt offering enough from lock.

Not Arrow, but Blair to lock. He is ideal for that position

No doubt on current form Hunt is 4th in line.

i have no idea why we suddenly are waiting for offloads when we get desperate but during the game if a pass is popped up it nearly always finds the ground. We clearly are under instructions to play safe. Hunt is lost, NFI what he wants to do before he gets the ball in his hands. He is not planning anything in advance just hoping something appears which is why everything happens so late.

We had plenty of ball inside the 20 and did 2 moves which both worked but the rest of the time just passed from one side to the other, **** knows why we don't do those moves more than once.

Overall a brave effort but this team has rarely lacked effort, just a little more creativity and support around the ruck would go a long way and who knows that might open some space for Hunt so he can use his running game.

TPJ offloaded a lot tonight, do your "stats" take that into account?

He was fucked that's why. You could see it in his face after 20mins, yet he still gave his all. He was down in back play after that collision with Ferguson, hence why he wasn't there.

We need second phase play. One up hit ups will do shit in today's game. Defences are too good.

The only attacking option we threw at them was the block play and they read it easily. We need some variety. That's where Niko's short ball does well.

All of our sets were recovery sets followed by a bomb and within that, the first three tackles were taken up by one of the back four. By the time Ese and TPJ had the chance for a hit up, McCullough was going to Glenn, Moose or Blair. I think Herman and Ese should have been more involved but it's not entirely their fault.

TPJ and Ese'ese where not getting given the ball, McCullough was intent on passing to Glenn and co.

I say let Opacic have the chance - halfway through the season and Moga is still *insert your choice of swear words*.
Opacic is the reason we got bundled out of the finals last year, yes he was injured, but he is just so slow defending the line and it got found out. Morgan literally ran around him like two or three times without getting touched... Reminded me of Jack Reed.
