POST GAME Round 13 - Roosters vs Broncos

And Moga has proved himself to be a big moment player, stood up in the last 10 minutes.

What about the other 70? Its no good turning up 10 mins a game. Its not just him either.

Another thing, get Moose away from lock.

Other than the Roosters game in suncorp where the Broncos scored a few late tries once Hunt went off injured, pretty sure Hunt is 1 win and 5 losses now? He doesn't deserve any credit for the win against Roosters, all our points came when he went off.

I might be alone on this thought, but I honestly believe that Marshall just earned the rest of the season with that game. Sure he made a couple of errors in defence and in attack, but he played with fucking heart, and he played fucking aggressive, FAR more enthusiasm than Hunt has shown in the last year and a half.

6) Milford
7) Marshall

14) Nikorima

I actually wouldn't have a problem with that and if your going to have Hunt in the side you have him at halfback or not at all (Kodi I still regard is a superior bench option) and his form since returning isn't justifying him a spot in first grade at present.

Sarcasm. Funnily enough it has been a thing I've noticed he has stood up when the pressure is on

Marshall was awesome tonight, but do you know why? Because he doesn't have to worry about game management and shit like that. I reckon if you put him back at halfback and make him be the game manager he will go back to dragon form

We've gone back to playing like a team who doesn't want to lose rather than a team who wants to win. Just second guessing themselves again.
We lost by 2 with almost a third of our players backing up from Origin though, does that not count?

Not that bad from the boys, I thought. Go down there, with those wet conditions, if Kahu clicks on a couple of plays then we win that. I tough pickup of a Friend grubber and a tough sideline conversion.

Friend and Cordner very good. A cut above everyone else on the field, and the real difference in the end.

I'll save my thoughts on our forwards for tomorrow, because I can't be fucked tonight, but we need to have a long hard look at our roster at some point, we're basically losing the forward battle every week, yet again.

Blair & McGuire were the only 2 forwards who did their job well tonight.

Sims - 6 runs, 47 metres
Ese'ese - 6 runs, 41 metres
Su'A - 5 runs, 36 metres
Pangai Jr - 5 runs, 28 metres

Unacceptable, especially from the "props" Sims & Ese'ese.

Ben hunt was terrible and cost us the game, his kicking game is probably the worst out of any halfback in the nrl, take benji out tonight and we struggle to even score. Yes I know hunt was the reason we were so good in 2015, but his form drop since his horror gf performance is just killing us. would be happy for a milf/niko or milf/benji halves combo for the rest of the year, I don't see either of these options any worse then milf/hunt combo

Brave effort from the Broncos.

Played like they were fighting in the trenches and nearly got the result late in the contest.

Pangai Jr was impressive on return. Quiet first stint, but when Wayne needed some spark he put his hand up and looked dangerous everytime he touched the football. If he can continue to develop, the Broncos attack will have that extra dimension it's been missing.

I was just thinking about how rubbish this week has been as a Broncos/Queensland supporter. Awful performance last Saturday against the Warriors, record loss on Wednesday now a close one against Sydney where it could have gone either way. It's been tough but you'd have to imagine it will get easier next week when they play the Rabbitohs at home.

Agree. Pangai Jr had a great second stint. Let's hope he can get his fitness up and become our starting lock over the next couple of year because McGuire is not a great lock, but a good prop.

I know people are adverse to mass changes, but we need the following along with some desire to actually play well

6. Milf
7. Niko

10. McGuire
13. Blair

15. Pangai
16. Ese'ese
17. Joe O/Marshall

The 17/Marshall is dependant on what team we play (and halves fitness). For Souths I definitely want another forward for example

What a frustrating game. Kahu saved his worst kick for the season so far when we actually really needed him to land it. Still not impressed with Moga hogging it when he should be giving it to Oates getting him 1v1 with his oppsosite number, that shit is frustrating as ****. Benji I thought should have passed it on that last play, pretty sure we had a huge overlap.... Anyway, such is life. Move onto next week I guess.
I say let Opacic have the chance - halfway through the season and Moga is still *insert your choice of swear words*.

Ben Hunt, needs to find form fast... another woeful game.

Also, Corey Oates, what the actual .... kicks ball off the ground when six to go in great field position. Throws a shocker of a forward pass in great field position. Goes MIA during a crucial moment when Moga has the ability to offload 1m from the line with no other bronco in sight.

That SOO game destroyed a lot of confidence for him and others I think.

I dont like bagging Moose, but he isnt a lock. I'd just bite the bullet and play Arrow there. Capable of playing big minutes and actually knows how to play the role. He might not be everyones cup of tea, but at the end of the day he is a lock. Moose isnt offering enough from lock.

I'm with ya. He might of had a few **** ups but he'll always put his hand up.

You watch someone like Thurston late in a game when it's on the line and he is barking orders galore. I watched Hunt and he just did not take control one bit. Sorry, but we will not win a thing with him at half back.
