Milford - Looks so much better with the extra responsibility. Was in everything and he is clearly more comfortable playing alongside Knik.

Really agree with this. Seems to thrive when he is the main guy and gets his hands on the ball more playing both sides.

Is anyone else totally disgusted by the Fifita tackle on Arrow? To me it looked like the fucker had real intentions of doing some serious fucking damage to Arrow's neck, hence Arrow's reaction. Can't believe the NRL let this blowrag play the game still. Hope the prick gets suspended for it. Real bad look for the game IMO, but hasn't really been mentioned in the aftermath.

Every fucking tackle he sails close to the wind. He is very close to taking the mantle of the "biggest fuckwit I have seen play the game"

It was shocking, and take it from.me, it takes a faiir bit to make Jai loose his cool.

All the talk will be how the sharks were off their game not how good the Broncs were.
Can hardly wait to see Kent squirm on NRL 360 on Monday.
**** Kent can't wait to see what excuse slothfield has. Is he going to say Hunt still hasn't gone up against a good enough team?? Is he going to whinge and moan about the crowd booing the legendary Gallen every time he touched it and how disrespectful it was?? His poor beloved sharks just got spanked

I'll be tuning in to MMM saturday arvo footy to hear what Kent,Tallis an Co have to say about us.

Anyone else notice the **** up by the Channel 9 commentator after the game. Can't remember his name but he is the small dude that hosts the pre game and post game. He said the broncos avenged their first round loss to the sharks. Last time I looked we beat them round 1. Sick of these token guys and mostly girls who have no idea about rugby league commenting on stuff they know nothing about. The fox sports woman only show is worse. It's like a woman's day gossip colum only they haven't got a clue what they are talking about

Did he lose his cool? I watched the moment twice and seem to think he got up and played the ball straight away. I actually remember that because he really should have lost his cool the tackle was that bad and probably the reason Fafita wasn't put on report was because Arrow got straight back up.

Regardless, Arrow is going to be a star.

In fact, out of any player coming through from our under-20s GF a few years back, Arrow is the one player I thought you could say without a doubt would end up being a just about guaranteed star. It isn't just his talent and motor, it is his work ethic. The kid works as hard as anyone I've ever seen. He is a huge loss and we will look back and realise that in a few years time, even though we'll have a few more premierships in the cupboard.

There was one instance in the game that confused me and has me concerned moving forward. 52nd minute, the Brisbane Broncos lead 20-6 and receive a penalty inside the attacking zone. Instead of pressing forward, they go for the two? I can't wrap my head around the logic, especially from a side that has so much strike. It's an area of the Broncos game I would have thought they would have grown out of by now and yet here we are. If the Broncos are to progress further, they can't go for those unnecessary goals anymore. Kicking for a 6 or an 8 point lead is fine, but anything less is just asking for trouble.
I think the kick was more so about killing time. We had the game won with the try straight after halftime and sharks knew this. They came out and started throwing the ball trying to manufacturer points. I remember looking at the clock thinking great we have to defend a desperate side for the next 33mins.

By taking the kicks they were killing time off the clock and accumulating points, whilst destroying any chance of sharks gaining momentum by creating a stop start game. The Broncos were very controlled last night and didn't really need momentum to score so the stop start didn't affect us. It was great to watch a Broncos team in so much control, after every point scoring play our set off the kick off was just measured down the middle, no mistakes, kick down field and let them shoot themselves in the foot.

We played clinical football and played our own game... great to watch

Except for that time when Ben Hunt stepped in and kicked it out on the full..

Maloney having a huge whinge last night after that penalty when he ran across to deliberately take Kahu out and stop him from contesting the ball.

Even after the penalty had been awarded and the Broncos were taking the two, Maloney was still there whinging to the ref..

It is so great to see that someone thinks the same as me. Can't wait.

That was unfortunate but the kick looked sweet off the boot and the decision to kick was a good one, execution just let him down.

Anyone else seriously surprised by how Thaiday is playing at 9? His passes are not bad and he seems to take the right option a lot of the time. I think it's a good ploy. Stiffen up he middle for the first 20mins and then bring Hunt on when the game opens up and the big boys are getting tired.

Yeah Thaiday more than just a battering ram, he's actually got nice hands.

One thing I have noticed lately is how much more Roberts is enjoying himself. If you looked last year Roberts wouldn't really celebrate a try with the team, but this year someone scores he is usually the first one there and jumping all over them. Even his defence has improved a lot just see last night.

One way you can tell that Roberts is in a much better head space is his defence.

There was one moment there in the second half when Leutele got on the outside of him and looked likely to score, but the desperation from Roberts to come across and crunch him in the tackle was great to see. Last year you would not have seen that from Roberts.

He is putting in the effort both in attack and defence and is actually improving quite a bit defensively.

He was unlucky not to score a try in the first half in the lead up to the penalty that took us to 8-0. When Milford was running across on the right, Roberts came back on the inside and had Maloney beat, but Milford dummied and kept going. If he had passed it, Roberts was in. He only had Holmes to beat and one-on-one, you're not stopping Roberts.
