RUMOUR Jayden Nikorima to the Broncos

Who says the Broncos want him back? What purpose would he actually serve?
When you take into account that our current hooker is recovering from a knee reconstruction and not gauretnteed to be fit for round one, our deapth halves from 2017 in Ben hunt and benji marshal plus our backup hooker Travis Waddell have all departed the club in favour of jack bird (not really a halves option and undergoing off season surgery) and an untested under 20’s halfback. Plus our 5/8th and hooker both in origin contention and halfback having his fair share of injuries.

I would have thought it’s quiet obvious his purpose would be starting prop?

Jayden Nikorima’s future in jeopardy amid allegations he has twice tested posited to illicit drugs

THE immediate future of Sydney Roosters star Jayden Nikorima is in jeopardy amid allegations he has twice tested positive to illicit drugs in the last 12 months.

Under NRL regulations the $350,00-a-year recruit from the Brisbane Broncos faces a 12-week ban, the same former Sharks star Ben Barba was hit with this time last year.

Nikorima is appealing the finding, claiming he has vital evidence that will clear his name.

The Roosters have been trying to off-load Nikorima to help them fit superstar signing Cooper Cronk for 2018.

Ironically, Cronk has signed with the Roosters in part to clean up the club’s culture and off-field dramas that have resulted in the sackings of Shaun Kenny-Dowall and Paul Carter.

The Roosters and the NRL are refusing to comment under the strict NRL and ASADA protocol.

How convenient that this was revealed just as the Roosters needed to offload him. Guess they won't be forced to pay part of his contract now.

Allegedly 350k freed up, very convenient indeed.

Words can't describe how much I loathe that club, and my late granddad was a die hard fan of theirs (lived in Bondi for decades, so not a bandwagoner).

its still the individuals choice overall

Let's be honest here, it wouldn't be hard to pop most NRL players for party drugs. Procter and Bromwich for example could have been tested and cut from their teams if the coach/ management hypothetically wanted them off the cap. Hell, just 'randomly' drug test a bloke you want gone on Saturday morning, make sure to monitor their IG so that you're sure they're going out w/ the boys.

Feel for the guy somewhat... chased the coin and let's be honest who wouldn't when they offer that to a rookie with no NRL experience.

Has probably been trying to barter a move since it became obvious he wasn't getting a look in any time soon.

Then the second Roosters need cap room, positive drug tests appear from no where and suddenly his entire career is in jeopardy. All so the roosters could stockpile junior talent just in case.

Will be interesting to hear what this evidence is that he's speaking of. Could definitely be a defamation case against the paper if it comes to naught considering they've led it with his name.

The first 8-12 weeks is precisely when we'll need him, with a big chance that Macca & Bird both miss the start of next season, if he's going to be suspended for the first portion of the season he loses 90% of his value and we should just find someone else.

True. He is saying that he has the evidence and proof to get his name cleared but not to sure. Does anyone think paul Carter is behind this.. he has had history of supplying
