Why can't we put on plays like this anymore?

During that 2008-2009 period, this was a pet play for Locky, Hunt and Wallace and it paid off regularly. Even if we didn't score a try, it got us on the front foot and we end up scoring most of the time.

Seriously, I don't see why we can't do this anymore.

We don’t have a halfback or a fullback that can support or run the ball.

Totally agree. Haven't seen Broncos do inside outside plays. Last i remember was against rabbits or Roosters when hunt was around. We need variety

Fairly sure every time we've attempted an inside ball over the past five years it's been called forward even when it wasn't.

Pretty much. Here's a corker Milf pulled off back in '15:

I recall us trying it at least twice since although I think we've fluffed it more so than the refs getting it wrong.

Oh really?

Bad pass notwithstanding, isn't this exactly what we want?

Now go back and look at how that break is created. You can't just pull out a play like that out of thin air. The defence was in disarray from the play(s) before. Big Dave crashing through, the markers out of position, and the defence slow to close up the gap behind the markers.

We're not missing the players that can set up these plays, we're simply not creating the opportunities to let our guys display their talent. It starts with the forwards, always has, always will.

That was the exact one I was going to mention. Great game to be at - actually that may have been the last home game I went to...

What do these young halves have to do to get a run? Does Bennett have a daughter left that they could date?

Not going to help, given his daughters allegedly all hate him now...

NZ have better internet than Australia. The days of them being worse off than us ended when a spill of a PM became a thing in Australia. Their fan forum does better than us too....

Because we don’t have a hooker who is as good at attacks as Mick Ennis, a halfback as good at set plays as Wallace, a fullback as explosive or elusive as Hunt, anyone near Lockyer, and a prop like Hannent.

No internet here bro. Maybe itll be better if us warriors fans can have an aus hosted forum...kinda as per this post: http://www.nzwarriors.com/threads/n...vs-broncos-team-list.60766/page-6#post-711110

On a serious note, hope its a good game between the two sides. Our fans expect us to win but not sure it will be that easy. Wet field might actually be more of an advantage to you guys than us. Hopefully its a cracker.

If you are a broncos fan based in Syd, might be best to avoid going to Palace Hotel to watch the game. Syd based Warriors supporters will be meeting up there.

I remember even hodges doing this play out wide and hunt would usually score off it. Heck I even remember Thaiday being in on this play back then

Warriors: Off-season recruit Gerard Beale is closing in on his first match for the club.
Broncos: Broncos and Queensland Maroons star Matt Gillett is facing several months on the sidelines with a fractured neck. Broncos half Kodi Nikorima (corked thigh) did not do contact training with the Broncos main squad on Tuesday or Wednesday with utility Jack Bird once again filling in at halfback. Nikorima has since been ruled out with Jack Bird moving to the halves, Tom Opacic to centre and Sam Tagataese in on the bench. Josh McGuire (back) and Joe Ofahengaue (bruised knee) also missed Tuesday's field session, but both are expected to be fit to play against the Warriors.

Just read some comments from the link to your forum, if nothing else you’re a respectful mob aren’t you!
Hats off to you. But I still hope we win
