Just heard that rumour, as well.

Fucked up if it's true.

Get that injury sorted Matt.
What’s the drum boys ? Do we park Thaiday on that edge, keep Sua on the interchange then give haas a debut ? Not the first time we’ve given debuts over there

It will be between Taga and Haas for the debut for the club

I can't see Thaiday doing well there anymore, he's just really past it now. You gotta stick with Su'a and see if he's got what it takes.

Agreed, if Bennett was happy to stick with knik then sua should get that grace too.

If Knik plays I would put Bird into Gillett spot

Surely Thaiday doesn't get a promotion into run on side.

Lucky we have Oates. I reckon he's going to be solid in the backrow when he eventually gets his shot.

Horrible news regarding Gillett, but I hope we use this opportunity to see what we've got with Su'A rather than defaulting to the safer, much less enjoyable option of starting Thaiday on the right edge.

I think the game plan should be to give Su'A at least a month of playing 80 minutes on the right edge to see how he handles it, if he struggles, option B should be to move Oates there and see how he goes.

My thoughts also. Guttered about Gillo but it explains a lot. Sua replaced Glenn last week, so you would have to think he is looked at as the next backrower. I read his running metres were only beaten by McGuire last week in the forwards, so although the team performed badly he didn’t really do anything wrong. As has been said on here, he’s really a starter not an impact benchie like Taga could be. On the right edge he was a gun during the trials and seemed to work well with Knik too. This will possibly determine who stays Oats or Sua also.

Very nervous about a new halves pairing for this game though. Bad timing losing knik and gillo together as that right edge may take a week or so to sort and connect

The two replacement are both pretty physical players so contact in defence shouldn't be an issue... but yeah could take more than a few days to sort out the communication
