Bird was brilliant. His talk, and defence was very noticeable. He just gives a heap of confidence to the boys around him. Offa, Lodge, Moose, Su’A were all massive for us.
I think tonight displayed why we cannot let Oates leave.
Milf looked much more comfortable, he looked like he was in control and his kicking game was on tonight. .
If Wayne gives Niko the 7 jersey next week, then we will taking 1000 steps backwards.

Good game Broncos!

I'll leave my whinging and excuses to the Warriors forum. Won't take anything from an exceptional performance.

Gotta feel for Oates. Wants to be a second-rower but cursed by his brilliance as a winger. If Su'a plays like this it'll definitely offset the loss of Gillete.

Ready to receive my just deserts in banter! :thebadmantookbaxter:

I wonder if Wayne can see what we can see.

This is my biggest concern. We never seem to build on positives and next week will be totally a different team. Hopefully this kick starts the season though.

Pretty good game management from Milf there. Fucking smashed Johnson late in the game too, pretty much everyone was great tonight. That team turns up with that attitude next week and we have a good chance at beating the Storm.

Bird was great, I must admit he surprised me, he had some nice short passes and kicks in there which i didn't think he could do.

Milford really disappointed me TBH he’s still not doing enough. Milford had no try assist, no line break assist and he ran the ball once the entire game.

I thought the forward rotation was good. Sims and Thaiday taking the initial contact then coming back on at the end with their experience. Offa was the standout in the forwards while Lodge and TPJ were both goods in limited minutes.

Bird's got a good short kick and a decent bomb.

Long kicking is not his strong point, though.

He played as I expected. He is a very direct player, likes to take on the line.

It’s like we need to be expecting to lose to actually turn up.

Good ball control, lucky to get those conditions in NZ

@Nashy when will the NZ forum change be in place? You rolled the dice sir and it paid off in spades [emoji23]

Offa had a great game. Hopefully he can put a string of them together now. Consistency is the only thing he's missing.
