Tagatese played 22 minutes and went pretty well. One thing I did notice was the Poosters did not want to run at him. He made solid hitups, 44 metres from 4 with no missed tackles. I'd like to see him get on after 20 and maybe the first 15-20 of the second half. I'm sure he'd change a few opinions of him.

Yeah, would love to see more of him. I thought he went well.

Taga seemed solid but Mago didn’t have much of an impact at all.

Love watching Wayne actually get excited, that shows that what we displayed that night really made him proud.other then some stupied mistakes.

People will call me a troll but I think his excitement was more to do with him being under pressure and saving his own skin. He got carried away after Round 2 also in the press conference.

Composed and safe in his job Wayne used to never do these things.

*Just my opinion though* and I am a cynical person.

Or, realising there's no shame in expressing happiness after a lifetime of suppressing public displays of emotion. Then again, I'm an optimistic realist.

At least your honest . But who didn't get excited over those 2 tries, they were awesome.

You mean a fullback tried to catch the ball off a kick? Or was involved in a backline movement that eventually led to a try.

And a halfback didn’t want to be tackled with the ball and threw it to a fast guy?

They showed up which is good but is bare minimum at NRL level. If competent at times is the standard we are screwed.

Neither are lazy or bad players, both are actually very very good if used correctly. Boyd is just not fit and is overpaid for what can offer and KNik just isn’t a halfback. Would be thrilled to have a fit Boyd in centre for 2 years with club option for 3rd at 400000 a year or KNik as bench hooker at 300000.
Don't talk Kodi down. That was a try assist and them some. Such vision and control to pass the ball wide to the speedy guy and hope for the best,. That's stuff almost never seen in a halfback before!

What about Boyd though... that one ball he actually did an effort to catch on the full and sorta run it back at the line, was a fucking game winner. Very rarely seen stuff from a fullback in the NRL!

We should sign both for life on a million bucks each!
Oh wait...

P.S. Crediting Boyd and Kodi for Roberts brilliant individual effort would be hilarious if it wasn't so transparently desperate, not to speak of insulting for the Jet.

It's an interesting one, Taga is obviously reliable enough that we could get value out of him for bigger minutes.

My theory is that we're using him as a safety net of sorts for our younger forwards. Intent is to build up their endurance and confidence as their development is a long term play for us, while Sam is likely one and done. Tagatese is there to plug the gaps when they're struggling, and for injury cover.

Not much to write about Mago, but likely match fitness an issue. Two games for NQ, and quite some time before his FG debut for us. Too early to call.

Sack Bennett. Sack Roberts. Sack Boyd. Sack Bird. Imprison Lodge. Staggs for captain.
Are you freaking stupid? what did Roberts do wrong? Imprison Lodge for what? this is one of the most stupid posts Ive read in a while.
