Team Lists

1. Isaako
2. Oates
3. Roberts
4. Boyd
5. Pearson

What is wrong with that? Shibasaki certainly didn't impress that's for sure, whereas Pearson did last time out, so give him another shot.

Regardless, Wayne leaving Staggs on the bench deserves criticism just as much as Hook got for leaving Wallace on the bench for consecutive weeks those few years ago.

And why isn't Carrigan getting a game? He looks the most ready out of all the kids.

Is Bird confirmed done for the season? Surely he's gotta be close.

I don't think Wayne trusts him in the back row (don't know why) so I just wouldnt pick him. He can actually cover all the back line plus back row so I can see why you would have him, but it's the second time now he hasn't used him. He used Opacic in the forwards in one game from the bench so I can't work out why he doesn't use Staggs. I know Tom is a little bigger In His build than Staggs, but Kotoni has played plenty of back row.

For mine, Opacic is an utter waste of top grade space. He adds absolutely nothing to a side that is desperately in need of spark, flair, power speed instinct, class ... all the things that = Kotoni Staggs.

I am totally baffled why this gun doesn't get serious game time. Having him there and not playing him is simply not caring about the team.

Spot on.

Every time we have started Ofahengaue at lock he has been immense this season. Just when you think he is gassed he shifts into another gear and works harder.
I was super impressed with him last night. A couple times last night he really put the extra effort in and his runs were denting the line a little more than usual.

Some of his charges reminded me of petero in style... long lanky stride building up speed before the line with some very slight late footwork to get between the defenders.

I thought he had a great game and the shoulder charge that everyone is blowing up about was a massive dive from Asiata purely to get a penalty.

I know Isaako lacks some play making abilities but **** me he's a lot safer at the back than Boyd, and if Pearson filled his wing spot we'd have Oates, Pearson and Isaako running out of our own end. Boyd's a fucken shot duck at fullback, looks heaps better in the centres. To me, Boyd going back to fullback weakened the whole fucken backline... He reckons he couldn't run the team from centre?? Hodgo says hi.

With Offa playing so well at 13, I cannot imagine how Moose can get a look in at lock. He needs to be back where he is most effective - the front row, and target Burgess, you know, the one with the long hair ...

We did better without Moose. Be better again without Thaiday, Macca and Boyd.
Like to see Turpin have a another go. Sam has played his 300th now needs to go to the Footy Show or Masterchef or somewhere else. Boyd somewhere else.
Wayne mightn’t be losing the dressing shed but perhaps some of his supporters.
He’s the Man in the Mirror alright, no doubt about it.

Mago was reasonable last night. His second stint was much stronger...definitely less of a liability than having Sam out there for two stints.

I reckon Mago was more than reasonable last night, he had some quality runs in his first stint and backed it up again in his second stint. I’ve also noticed he’s one of our best defenders when it comes to winning the wrestle(which isn’t really saying that much with the current squad).

Tommy is very underrated. We just have him defending all the time and he doesn't really play his natural game at all.

I like kotoni, I've been going on about him since before he even made the side but I do think some people go way over the top with him. He has enormous potential, but I think he has also been lucky he has been in the team when the team has actually performed well also. If he made his debut in a team performance like we saw against the Dogs or the Tigers away for example he probably wouldn't have had the same impact. He is being built up so much by some people I worry he is going to get abuse when he has games where he struggles. I am still totally puzzled though why we just don't play him off the bench. I think he has thoroughly earned a shot.

This year after 1 game people are calling for Pearson to be selected.

After his few games last year... many people were calling for him never to play NRL for us again ...

He's had a good season, and looks to have filled out a little. Had a great game last time he played for us. Why wouldn't the fans want to see more? From all accounts he's got a tonne of talent, maybe he just wasn't ready last season? Looks the goods now though.

I think its more showing the hypocrisy of some people. He was the next big thing when he made his debut a couple of years ago. He had that game last year he kept falling over and he was useless, but he had a good game this year so he can play NRL again.

It's been a frustrating season to watch, no one probably knows what to think.

He's a good player and will improve with experience. He is one of very few who stood tall against the Warriors.
