Honestly, modern approach! As in 2015 old school and 2016 modern ??? Cause im sure mr old school took us to the GF. But then mr new school beat us but is now about to get the spoon . Im confused
I think new school means beating all the shit teams instead of the top 8

Are we trying to get rid of him ASAP or just not re-sign him? Because from yesterday's articles, it made it seem like it's just Bennett that will try to walk out.
This is exactly what I mean though. The board has been tight lipped whilst letting speculation about our immediate future run wild.

They must front the media now and end all the speculation by clearly outlining the future including downplaying speculation for 2019.

It's far too late in the piece to find a new coach for 2019 so they have come out and ensure Bennett is staying for 2019.

In the background they may also have to mend some bridges to keep the coaching staff and players happy. That may sound like pandering but it's what every business has to do at times and whether you think it or not the broncos are a business now and they're starting to let this get out of their control.

If information is being leaked to the media then there should also be some serious repercussions to the guilty parties because this is getting beyond ridiculous.

If it is all just media BS then there is no harm with the board coming out and reassuring the public and at least it will be their message getting out.

Let the media say what they like but the broncos need to be in unison and have a consistent message that they are putting forward to the public (this falls back on Bennett as well).

Your right , all this bad press is taking it's toll on fans and players. There needs to be some sort of clarity or the media will just turn it into a bubbling sess pool of bullshit.

Haha pearson thats almost as bad at Nikorima at 7.

Your alternative is who?.

Pearson was very good this with his limited opportunities.

Maybe you could think about posting something like

I'd prefer ( insert your selection ) because of ( reasons ) instead of being a dick.

Bennett is "old school" in that he's not willing to instruct his players to cheat in the ruck (excessive wrestling) or give away intentional penalties defending the line.

I noticed yesterday that the Sharks have employed a new ploy to slow the PTBs down: claim that the ball carrier lost it. The refs let them carry on pointing at the ball and glaring at the sideline official for like 3-4 seconds, more than enough time to set the line.

Apparently TPJ will not re-sign if Bennett moves on. He'll follow Bennett.

Broncos players banned from commenting on Wayne Bennett’s future
BRONCOS players have been issued a gag order to not comment on Wayne Bennett’s uncertain future following revelations the Brisbane coach could be punted within weeks.
Bennett is fighting for his future at Red Hill and could have as little as three NRL games left in charge of the Broncos.
The Broncos have rejected Bennett’s proposal of a one-year extension which would see him finish his career at Brisbane in 2020.
And the club is monitoring Brisbane’s turbulent form with the possibility Bennett could be given his marching orders at the end of this season to start with a clean slate in 2019.
The Bennett situation has turned ugly and Brisbane’s woeful form in the past fortnight has further fuelled speculation Bennett’s tenure at the Broncos is coming to an end.
REVEALED: Wayne Bennett’s termination could be accelerated

The Broncos have lost to cellar dwellers Canterbury (14th) and North Queensland (last) in the past two weeks, putting their finals hopes on the line as they languish in eighth spot.
Bennett marshalled his troops for a lengthy on-field meeting at training on Monday morning before lock Josh McGuire said they had been told not to comment on the coach’s situation.
“The coach and club has asked us not to comment on that,” he said.
“We won’t be talking about that until the season’s over.
“We’re looking forward to this week and the big challenge ahead and worrying about this game as a club.
“We’re the ones on the field, so it hasn’t distracted us at all,
“We’re excited about the game ahead. It’s a big opportunity.”

McGuire will return from a one-game suspension for pulling a rival player’s hair in Thursday night’s crucial clash against South Sydney at Suncorp Stadium.
However the Test and Origin star bizarrely refused to guarantee he would not pull a player’s hair again.
“I’m just going to play footy and do my job for the team,” he said.
“That’s up to the NRL and how they want to charge it. I’m good with the boys and looking forward to this week.”

And thats why whoever is pushing Bennett out needs to go . I don't see why putting jd or someone else in with Bennett over seeing is that bad a idea. He is building something so let him gradually step aside.

Comparing the way our players work over people in the ruck to other teams, particularly the Storm and Sharks of late? The Storm will work someone onto the ground and then turn them around, they also pretty much always have a third man come in around the legs which helps them work the tacked player into position - both should be illegal and are easy to enforce, but the NRL does nothing about it. The Broncos allow lightning quick PTBs, and the refs give us no leeway because when we try to slow it down it's always stuff like peeling (which the storm get away with as well, but it's easier for the refs to ignore because they create the illusion that the tackle isn't completed by moving the tackled player around as I mentioned before) or just sit on them too long.

On the claiming the knock on thing: it's a hunch, but I question anything that buys time in the ruck, especially when it happens more than once in a game and it's obvious that the bloke didn't knock on.

Is there any any actual confirmation he is not wanted as an overseeing role? Is there any actual confirmation the club has vetoed this idea?

WTF... so was he just going to leave in 2019 after Wayne's contract finished? If the players have the shits maybe it is the board and CEO being arseholes. This club really is doing their best to kill their support base. I can't handle another Henjak/Hook era.
I was 10 when the Broncos started and have been a mad supporter ever since.

Yeah apparently they said no to it and no to his extension. But who really knows what is going on. It's all here say atm

From publicly announcing that we were chasing to Bellamy, to signing Bird to not renewing Bennett despite not having a suitable replacement, Paul White and co have shat the bed completely.

I fear for our clubs future. I hope dont lose the players we've done so well to build and I hope to god White doesnt bring Griffin back...

You know what? As much as tpj is bomb if hes holding us to ransom, bye. No one is bigger than the club. As soon as the players have the power you're fucked.
