2018 NRL Grand Final - Roosters vs Storm

They released skd and pearce, and got tedesco and cronk...

Its the equivolant of us releasing mccullough and nikorima and getting c smith and cronk. Lol imagine the uproar hahahha... anyone could do great recruiting with that leeway!

And yet there they are again, I don’t care how they do it. They just do it

Claiming public outrage is just a bullshit cop out, there’s NO broncos agenda.

The supporters on here claiming that every second post need to wake up to reality.

There’s a reason we’re on almost every Friday night. RATINGS!!!!!

We are the best tv rated, crowd drawing, fan base supported and financially viable club in the competition

The NRL and their broadcast partners would LOVE it if we were winning the comp more regularly

Ratings = Money

I wonder if Munster cops a ban for kicking Manu in the head, probably.

Keary might be the Australian 6 at this rate.

1. Tedesco
6. Keary
7. Cherry-Evans
9. Cook

Probable.

Absolutely should, I used to really like the bloke but the more I see him the more apparent it is that he’s a grub

They released Shaun Kenny-Dowall, Mitchell Pearce, Aidan Guerra, Kane Evans, Liam Knight & Paul Carter and only brought in those two.

That seems pretty reasonable to be honest. The Roosters cop a lot of shit for cheating the cap, but the realistic approach is that they just manage it better than anyone else, including us. You wouldn't see them throwing $800k at a utility player like Bird, or a slow and old Fullback like Boyd, they're smarter than that.

Pretty sure they upgraded the contracts of Cordner, Radley, Mitchell and Manu as well. I dont think there is anyway they are fitting all these blokes plus paying out so much money for Cronk and Tedesco, as well as recently tieing up Napa and bringing in Critchon.

I do think though they wouldnt have thrown such a big contract at Darius Boyd, Bird maybe. After his year with us, i think people are forgetting what a good player he is when fit. No question though they are smarter about who they sign than us.

Smith still not signed for next year btw boys

Let's sign him up, 5 year deal, can play for 1 more year and then be Head Coach from 2020 onward.

I'd 100% be behind this. Use future wages as coach to entice him. He can play HB if we can't find one, **** it.

No charge.

He didn't have time mate.

Totally accidental and unintentional.

The Roosters player shouldn't have had his head there.

Anyone who has played the game at any level knows it's a complete joke if Munster gets suspended for that.

Ian schubert was on the stage as a roosters legend presenting the clive churchill medal on stage tonight. Ive forgotten, what was his job again? Additionally, he also “assisted” the nrl and the roosters in getting them cap compliant 2 years ago. Next year, they buy the at time current rlpa and dally m medal spine position players. Come on now.....

Also, what grand finals are the highest rated in the nrls history? They all involve melbourne. Why? Because people in brisbane and sydney are going to watch the gf REGARDLESS of what teams are in it, the vast majority of melborne people (the 2nd largest city in australia) will watch it ONLY if melbourne are in it.

Im not saying there is some conspiracy against brisbane. I am implying that there are certain clubs that get more leeway for the way they play as them being competitive at minimum has more upside, broncos, dragons, panthers, eels etc fans are rusted on. Langers tackling technique has long been outlawed, why hasnt wrestling? Slater has long been leading with his feet, even lashed at a player with his studs in the grand final after being let off after a black and white suspension was somehow thrown out. The salary cap penalty? 2 years later they win the premiership, harsh penalty that one. You cant tell me with a straight face that there isnt harsher penalties or less leeway given to certain teams...

I respect what the roosters have done, they are using the advatages they have. What im sick of is that the nrl pretend that the salary cap is working and that they are fair and just in other areas when it is obvious to all that rules are rules (unless it disadvantages certain team. Can you remind me what position the storm and roosters were in before the nrl decided to change rule interpritations MID SEASON-un-fuckin-heard of in the history of the game)...
