Should Wayne Bennett's Contract be Extended?

People here like to bag the media for writing false stories about Wayne & the Broncos. That's fair enough. Then these same people come up with there own speculated theories, with no solid evidence, about what is going on. That's called hypocrisy.
No, it's conjecture. People are entitled to speculate without hard evidence. What's on the nose is making claims from that speculation and claiming they are factual.

But how can it be said Wayne's first priority is the Broncos, as you infer Pete, and at the same time he was allegedly making committments to be at Souths on Dec 3? Isn't that a conflict of some sorts.
Allegedly, allegedly. Shane Richardson stated that WB had never made a commitment to Souths, not for Dec3 or any other date. That's come from Souths. All Siebolds statements seem to be everyone but WB telling him WB was coming. Unless WB said he definitely was going to Souths in 2019 or someone produces some footage with audio of him saying it or an email from him stating he was going to Souths then we must just accept he never said he was going. He did say that ultimately it wasn't up to him and yes, in theory he could end up there in 2019 but he wasn't on planning on going.

We don't know the nature of the commitment. Bennett expressed uncertainty about his future at the club, so if he believed there was a chance he could be released by the Broncos, he would have indicated December 3rd would have been his start date.

You can have all your bases covered, and still prefer one base over another. Going off what's actually been said, that's what I believe has happened.

It's got to the point where I really don't know what or who to believe anymore.

And on it goes ...

I hope not but if it happens I'll accept the umpires decision. I want to see 2019 be the year we thank WB, draw big crowds and make a huge impression and maybe go all the way. If the swap happens then I doubt either club will have a great 2019.

Fair enough mate, some valid points made.

Wasn't he the guy saying Benny would be gone by 5pm Friday?

Everyone was saying that, including the Broncos & Rabbitohs. Twas only Bennett defying the obvious.

I hope Bennett's tenure doesn't come to an end now.

Pre-season has already started, a coach swap is going to be too much disruption.

Bennett was never returning until tomorrow, if he's fired this arvo there'll be virtually zero disruption, maybe factor in 1 week down time for Seibold & the staff he's bringing with him to get settled up here.

The proper pre-season doesn't start until post-Christmas anyway.

Exactly right, Bennett has always been about success. All this bullshit about fucking clubs and everyone over is just crap. He wants a premiership hence him staying put because he thinks we have a good chance, obviously though he had thoughts of leaving because of all the pressure (media).

I reckon The last thing on his mind right now is how to help the broncos to another premiership.
