The issues I have with Gordy and/or any other players comparing then to now and how players like Lodge, Roberts etc would not be hired/sacked on the spot is subjective to the eras conditions.

We had NO salary cap back in the day, we could pick and choose who we wanted. In a salary cap era, we just don’t have that luxury. Don’t get me wrong I’m not making excuses for our current form, but to compare eras without comparing all the conditions isn’t fair

No issue with him criticising the club and the players with regards to their performances on the field. Hell, even criticise the fact that we didn't appoint Walters because in his opinion he would have done a better job. But don't sit there like some kind of all knowing Oracle proclaiming that you could bring down the entire organisation with the things that you know. That's not criticising the club, that's just being a wanker.

I think it's past that now. It's all muscle memory from him now. He wouldn't know how to give us a pep talk anymore, it would all just be criticism. We have plenty of other ex-players we could call on for that, Tallis can stay at Robina and give them pep talks.

This is right. The media have gone out of the way in the off-season to make out we were world beaters without any evidence to back it up. We as a club for a long time now have just been hanging in there with the top. Apart from 2015 we have not looked a hell of a lot better then anyone. So its a set up in my opinion to have something to talk about. Fox essentially makes their own headlines from the tv to the web page, how many so and so slams or calls bullshit headlines can we read. Its the same thing as the off season from hell all the media talked up about how fans were leaving in droves only for the opening games to be record attendances. Now nothing about all that drama.

By the same token, we weren't as rich as several Sydney clubs and didn't have the NSWRL in our back pocket like Manly did. You'll have to remember, THEY(the big Sydney clubs) didn't have a salary cap either and could buy whomever they chose too!

I am one of the many who has been fed up with Tallis’ media commentary over the years but it’s only recently I have actually given some of his recent comments some credibility and put some of his agendas in perspective.

For starters I like most on here would have never picked up on the Issac Moses managing most of our playing roster plus our coach if it wasn’t for his rant last week. I also didn’t realise he is supposedly a paying Broncos member who still has a vested interest in the club.

He said on air recently the whole Titans ambassadorial role came about because apparently he is good mates with the Kelly and Frizelle families who are the owners and was doing it as a favour to them because he wants to help make their business/club a success. This actually explains a lot. I thought originally he was doing it for a huge cash grab and out of spite.

With the Kevin Walters fiasco, whether Tallis is lying out of his ass or not, he claims that many are upset with the club over Kevvy’s snubbing because he was informed there was a handshake agreement between Walters and the club for the head coach role. If there is any truth to this I can see why many club greats have got their backs up over this.

That on top of the direction the club is heading in and the questionable things we have done over the last few years, you can understand the ex greats are probably annoyed and pissed off that the culture they worked all their lives to instil and the club they bled for is being reduced to a laughing stock. Some old school fans obviously share that view too because many are getting disillusioned that the club they once knew has definitely dropped its standards big time on a range of things.

I like most though know nothing good lasts forever and I also know the generation change in society is going to ensure our club is going to go through a bit of a face lift as we change with the times. My only real concern at this point in time is I want there to be a hell of a lot more accountability for our underperforming players. I wouldn’t be so concerned about a 1/4 start of it wasn’t for the manner we have lost our games especially the roosters game as it seems to be an attitude thing. Otherwise I am happy to let Seibold mould his squad and make any changes as he sees fit.

I also think a second Brisbane team would be the beat thing to happen to us in the near future despite everyone south of the border saying we want the Broncos to keep a monopoly on Brisbane. A second Brisbane team would make us more accountable for our actions and would ensure we get on the front foot and not take everything for granted when we would be fighting for the corporate dollar. Direct Competition can only be a good thing and should actually bring the best out of us and get rid of this one team town ego and complacency.
