Imagine if Seibold has pulled the ultimate Wayne Bennett move and was behind the leaks about Kniko. Niko isn’t really going anywhere but this story has distracted from the expected Wayne vs Seibold build up.

These big games are won and lost by the smallest of margins.
Dearden, whilst an unknown, would provide a point of difference and could give us a slight edge as Souths and Bennett would not be able to game plan for him.

I'm on board too!

Um, I'm sure the Rabbits game plan for Dearden would be to have the Burgii run at him all game. Based on @1910's assessment of Dearden's form in the lower grades, it will be interesting to see how he copes with such fun and games. Still, one has to start somewhere

I wouldn’t mind seeing a reshuffle in the back 5 against the rabbits to allow isaako a week or 2 in Q cup to get his confidence back. I thought at times he looked better last night, however his hands are continuing to drop balls. A shade of the player he was in 2018 to start this season unfortunately. His goal kicking is also down in 2019
Agree he's had more lowlights than highlights this season for sure, but after an iffy start he seems to be rounding into some form with the boot: 13/14 since the Tigers game, and the miss was off the uprights IIRC.

Thought he went alright on Saturday in general besides that howler of an attempted catch after we'd pinned them in their 20m.

Took balls for him to come in off his wing when Morris made a break after all the crap he's copped for doing that.

Hypothetical side if KNik and Roberts leave:

1. Isaako
2. Oates
3. Staggs
4. Boyd (c)
5. Farnsworth/Kennar
6. Bird
7. Milf
8. Haas
9. Macca
10. Lodge
11. Fifita
12. Gillett
13. TPJ

14. Dearden
15. Joffa
16. Flegler
17. Glenn

Defence I wouldn't be too worried about, I think he's shown more aptitude in defence in the ISC than attack. Peter Hola tried to kill him against the Pride and he stood up and got in there. Didn't miss a tackle and Hola made 183m rampaging over everyone else.

My observations have all been around attack which is strange for a young half.

Herbie is injured and can't play anyway until June 30.

I think Dearden at 14 would have limited to no value, he's isn't versatile enough to play anywhere else other than 7 or 6. Unless you're banking on everything going super sweet and giving him the last 10 minutes each week but that's a complete waste. He would be better playing 80 minutes for Wynnum.

I think he's in at half or he's out. I think too throwing him in off the bench in halves wouldn't work too well. He hasn't shown he's assertive enough yet and hasn't adapted to Wynnum quickly an NRL game would be a nightmare.

I think he needs to be out there feeling his way from the start.

Geez that's gonna be a lot of pressure on Milford.

It could certainly work. I think Fifita would be a fantastic centre. He is quick and agile enough and his power would be a huge asset.

Sure is, not sure it is all that different to currently though. I'm not a fan of punting KNik obviously but I'm not sure what the other option would be unless you give SOS a shot.

From what I gather, isaako is bit of a Hoffman at fullback which would frustrate the hell out of Milford.

You trying to scare us?

If Roberts really is headed to Souths next week, do we really want him on the field this week?
