Broncos Player Movement and Rumours 2020

How come? His numbers scream mediocrity, in first grade and in ISC. We'd be better off putting all of our time and resources in to the 3 young guys we've got, Perese, Farnworth & Coates.

He was really good in ISC in 2018, on a par with Staggs every time i saw him play. Played for the junior Kangaroos as well and broke into the Cowboys side. He has always looked like a very talented player to me and a lot of people had a high opinion of him. The wheels for whatever reason seemed to fall off this year for him.

Farnworth is a winger, so he wouldnt be competing with him anyway, Coates needs a full year playing ISC, i dont think he is anywhere near ready for our team yet. Perese maybe if he can sort his defence out or we play him wing. I think take him on a 12 month deal and see if we can get anything out of him.

When are we getting any news on the broncos now that that horrid season is over..?

Broncos management are chuffed they have an extra couple of weeks to hide under their desks while the GF farce gets the headlines.

Need more then a couple of weeks, more like a couple seasons to allow the bullshit contracts to run their course. Time is the only fixer here. Hopefully those responsible have been tarred and feathered never to make the same mistakes again.

BRONCOS SNIFF AROUND HASTINGS

The Broncos are desperate for a halfback in 2020 after their failings this year and a third-party made an inquiry on their behalf to a good one last week - Jackson Hastings.

After a troubled career at the Sea Eagles and Roosters, Hastings has become a superstar in England, guiding minnows Salford to an historic first grand final berth this year and winning Super League's Man of Steel award.

That has piqued the interest of several NRL clubs, but to no avail.

Hastings has signed a rich contract with glamour club Wigan as a marquee player and there is no way they will release him for next season.

It could be a different story in 2021, however.

BIG-NAME BRONCO TO RETIRE

Word coming to me out of Brisbane is that a big-name Bronco will announce his retirement before the new year.

I'm still digging to see who it will be - but it's almost certain to be Darius Boyd, Andrew McCullough or Alex Glenn.

Coach Anthony Seibold is keen to make changes to his squad and retiring one of the three veterans - all on big money - would give him room to move in the salary cap.

The Broncos have been doing a lot of soul-searching since their inglorious exit from the final series last month and changes will be made - provided they can retire players or move them on.

Our biggest names are Fifita and haas. Followed by bird and Milford due to their price tags.

I wouldn’t be surprised if it is Matt Gillett. Just a gut feeling and he seems like a guy who would put the club first.

If anyone, it has to be Boyd doesn't it ?'

Boyd really hasn't sounded like he's even considered retiring so it would be a surprise if it was him.

Macca seems unlikely to retire either as he's probably good enough still to get a run at another club under the right circumstances.

This was my first thought when I read the headline.

Hope it's Boyd, but if it's true it's probably Gillo.

I have faith in @Smokin' Joe. There’ll be some big news concerning Macca and Boyd this offseason.

I can't see who it would be other than Boyd or Gillett.

I wish we had signed Hastings when he left Manly. We never take those type of risks with those type of signings. Except Segeyaro...oops.

Dobbo (warning) was saying post GF on the radio that more than likely Gillo and Macca are going in the off season, but Boyd is staying put because we can’t afford the cap hit.

Said Seibs told the board that the top 5 paid players were the worst 5, and the 5 cheapest players were the best and to be successful that needs to flip next year.

Dobbo said Macca is all butgoing to the warriors as they need a bit of defensive starch & Kearney loves Macca. So hmmm,

Take from that what you will.
