NRL Players and family members in hot water

For his sake, I hope she was worth it.

NRL are looking at ripping up their contracts.

There's screenshots on social media of the Instagram DM's.

It looks like the process went:

> Okunbor visits school
> School girl follows him on Insta
> Okunbor follows her back (Maybe likes a photo or two of hers)
> She slides in to his DM's and is clearly the one who initiates the sexual talk
> Okunbor doesn't even know if she was a girl from the school he visited (He explicitly asks her "Were you at the school today?")
> They presumably meet up and sexy time ensues

It's still really bad, but it's not as bad as him literally taking her back to the hotel room after tuning her at the school meet.

Is it really that easy to get some action? I must have zero game

So where did the Insta screenshots come from? As in, who released them?

I actually don't care at all about the whole age thing, it's either legal or not but going to a school to do a talk as part of your job, and then actually sleeping with them is a bit fucked up. That's about as unprofessional and unethical as it gets. You're there as part of your job not to get your dick wet.

If they met socially outside of work fair enough it shouldn't be news but that's really unprofessional.
This, absolutely this! The age difference is irrelevant, as long of course, as the girls are aged to and gave their consent.

What morons, deadset. I think they’ll be sacked because no Bulldogs sponsor is going to want their logo on these two.

Highly Inappropriate to hook up with a high school girl met at a school visit.

These guys are so stupid.

Does anyone know how the players were caught out. Was it the Dogs who self reported to the integrity unit??

How did this find it's way into the media, from a leak inside the integrity unit????

If, at the end of the day, they have only broken team protocols then it should have been handled in house.
If this was leaked from within the NRL to media then someone there should be held accountable, at least partly, for losing the sponsor.

And once again, I find myself completely on the opposite end of the opinion spectrum. Normally I'm the one harping on about the players taking responsibility for their actions.

In this case though, I must be missing something, because I can't see a problem here, except for the "breaking team protocol" thing. The fact that they were school girls, or were there for a presentation, means little to me. They were 18 (I heard?), so they're not only above the age of consent, they're legally adults.

How many players would have met not only their hook-ups, but their future partners, as official club events? No one would bat an eyelid if they went to a corporate day, hit it off with someone, and then later received an invitation to catch up.

I would say a one or two match ban for breaking team protocol, handled in-house, would be appropriate. The sponsors jumping ship are either a knee-jerk reaction based on public outrage, or they were looking to pull the pin due to poor on-field results, but wanted a convenient excuse.

I think the point you are missing here is that they 'picked up' these school girls at an event organised by the club and the school. They are there as a representative of their club, the NRL and are somewhat a position or authority in their capacity there. Regardless of their age the are still in school and the players met them when they were making a presentation at there school. Yes it is not illegal but it is a fucking bad look. Think of the repercussions against the school, I'm sure most parents wouldn't be stoked that the school is organising events that lead to their daughters fucking the guest speakers.

Like I said, same goes for if they are guest speakers elsewhere, they'd be there in a position of "authority".

The girls instigated it too according to that message. It's not like they were there scoping.

I see your point but I can't agree with it. Yes the girls reached out to them but when you are grown men talking to school girls the responsibility is on you to keep your dick in your pants, in my opinion.

In terms of them being guest speakers elsewhere there has to be a separation between functions that are have no involved with schools and schools. It is just wrong. If they met them at a club or something with no prior involvement then go for gold, but meeting them at school and then later hooking up is just gross. I mean the private messages between them says it all.

Paraphrasing here but...
"Yo were you them schoolgirls we were talking to at your school"
"sure were, here's a picture of us together, at my school, in my school uniform"
"sweet, let's ****".

There is a reason that the sponsors dropped them despite the admirable the club has handled it.

Looks like Okunbor has been sacked as per the papers I was delivering last night. I wonder why CHN wasn’t?
The "official" reason is that he didn't actually meet her at the school, they met elsewhere (her workplace apparently) and she just happened to attend that school.

But yeah, it's probably because he's the better player.

I'm very happy to agree to disagree, just thought I'd share my opinion.

The girls were 17 apparently. Still legal but definitely iffy.
