His tackle on Maloney last season was worse but was still over punished. This tackle was even nothing in comparison to that. His body contacted the ball, as O'Neil was looking to get up to run. Jesse Arthurs essentially made the same decision and action, so why wasn't he charged? They have a special lense for how they view Pangai's actions. "Pangai judiciary derangement syndrome" I'll call it.

The Broncos have to challenge this, contact is clearly made with the ball and it isn't late.
I see no contact with the head.

But it's "dangerous" contact.

Can we get up the very definition of what constitutes "dangerous"?

Simply playing NRL itself I'd consider "dangerous"

Settle down? If you can’t have someone dispute your opinion without thinking they have lost their cool then maybe the internet isn’t for you.

wasn’t ‘settle down’ as in you’ve lost your cool, was ‘settle down’ as in let’s not get so excited over what was a pretty pedestrian performance from our marquee player. You’re entitled to any opinion on Milf’s game, if you were satisfied then I’m glad! I hope we see more and he keeps building.

He's been charged with dangerous contact to the head and neck when from that vision it appears he's made contact with the ball.

At the most, it’s unnecessary forceful contact. Fine him so you can say he’s been punished and move on

we should fight this with everything we have on principle, regardless if the season continues or not

Dangerous Flop

The Code: A Player Cannot drop, dive or Fall on a prone player. Application: A player cannot make dangerous, aggressive or unnecessary contact on a player in a prone position on the ground (a simple hand-on can complete the tackle).reference: law book - section 11, law 1 (d), page 23.

Pangai has flopped in leading with his Elbow. I don't think it's worthy of a grade 2 charge, but guilty just the same and with his prior points he'll be spending time on the sideline.

The Herbie Farnworth Challenge.

Herbie bunts the ball into the ground before it sets up for Arthars.

I think that was a strategic challenge just to slow things down in the dying stages of the game.

he wasn't charged with a danergous flop ... so he can't be found guilty of a dangerous flop ...

all the judiciary can consider is if he made dangerous contact with the head or neck ... he didn't he didn't touch the head or neck.

given that i have zero faith that the judiciary makes the right call (if we challenge), based on the fact the NRL is the most incompetent organisation in the world of professional sport

Prone position is a body position in which the person lies flat with the chest down and the back up.

Guys sitting up....

Did Fox Sports hire the Triple M commentator?

I don't recall him calling any games on TV prior to last night.

That was my thought watching at the time, that it bounced before sitting up and he was probably over the dead ball line when he grabbed it anyway.

However Arthars is in my SVRL team, so it should have been given a try. Just sayin'.

We gave it up in the last 20 and switched off is my concern. Siebs needs to sort that out - we could have really put the sword to them and kept it to 28-9 or 30+ to 9.

I love have croft was still not happy at the end of the game - this is the attittude needed. Was a reasonable performance but not at the level needed to win the comp and croft knew that. I hope his and Patty's attitudes are contagious.

Too quick for me to see clearly. So (1) did the ball hit the ground over the dead ball line and (2) Arthars doesn't ground it in goal?

Was it a shoulder charge on Macca or did he just bounce off JT13?

It looks like one at full speed, but when you slow it down you can see it wasn't. He wrapped his arm around Macca and just fucking smashed him. Fair hit.
